Container House Safety Requirements
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
The safety requirements for container houses cover multiple aspects such as materials, installation, fire protection, structure, usage environment, and compliance:

Material Safety
- Combustion Performance: The combustion performance grade of building components (including indoor load-bearing floors and ceilings) should be Class A. When using metal sandwich panels, the combustion performance grade of the core material should also be Class A. The use of flammable materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam is strictly prohibited.
- Material Durability: Simple iron sheet container houses usually have a service life of less than 5 years, while custom-made container houses can last for more than 30 years. Aging materials need to be replaced regularly.
Installation Safety
- Qualification Requirements: The installation of container-type movable panel houses should be entrusted to professional teams. Prefabricated light steel structure movable panel houses should be handled by units with general construction contracting qualifications or steel structure professional contracting qualifications.
- Technical Inspection: Before installation, it is necessary to inspect the airtightness, thermal insulation, waterproofing, fire resistance, and moisture resistance. Hidden projects (such as the installation of water, electricity, and gas, and moisture and waterproofing) should be strictly inspected and accepted.
- Structural Stability: The beam-column structure should consider bending and shear forces. The distribution of columns and the selection of cross-sections should be reasonable. The top keel structure should be sturdy, and the ceiling should be stable.
Fire Safety
- Fire-resistant Materials: Priority should be given to using Class A fire-resistant materials such as rock wool boards and fire-resistant cotton for filling.
- Fire Separation Distance: There should be a safety distance of at least 6 meters between container panel houses.
- Fire Source Management: Heat sources and fire sources should be kept away from the houses, and open-flame operations should maintain a safe distance. Electrical wires and cables should be protected with sleeves, and socket and switch boxes should be made of metal galvanized boxes and installed openly.
- Fire Protection Facilities: Simple fire-fighting equipment such as fire extinguishers and fire hydrants should be equipped both inside and outside.
Structural and Environmental Adaptability
- Earthquake and Wind Resistance: It should have good earthquake resistance (such as being able to withstand an earthquake intensity of 8 degrees) and meet a wind pressure of 0.45KN/㎡ (about a Level 10 wind). In harsh environments, the structure should be reinforced.
- Lightning Protection Measures: The steel structure should be connected to the foundation to form a Faraday cage lightning protection system. In lightning-prone areas, additional lightning rods, lightning protection belts, or lightning protection nets can be installed.
Usage Compliance
- Planning Permission: Container houses that have been transformed into buildings without permission are illegal structures. It is necessary to obtain a rural construction planning permit or file for record in accordance with the law.
- Management Requirements: It is prohibited to occupy public land and avoid environmental dirtiness and safety hazards.
