Container House Room Layout Plan

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

The layout of container house rooms should be flexibly planned according to the space size, usage needs, and design style. Here are some layout plan references for different scenarios:

1. 30-square-meter, 12x2.5-meter container house (pastoral luxury style) This case is based on a long, narrow space and achieves efficient utilization through functional zoning. An entrance vestibule can be set up at the entrance, equipped with a shoe cabinet and a coat rack to avoid directly exposing the interior space. The core area adopts an open layout, integrating the living room, dining room, and kitchen: the living room is furnished with an L-shaped sofa and a small coffee table, the dining room has a foldable dining table, and the kitchen has cabinets along one wall, with an induction cooktop, sink, and refrigerator embedded. The bedroom area can be located at the end of the container, using a platform bed design to save space, with a wall cabinet at the head of the bed for additional storage. The outdoor extension area is a highlight of this case, connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces through glass sliding doors, and featuring a small swimming pool and lounge chairs to create a semi-open entertainment space.

2. Container house for a family of four in a Jiangsu town (practical and comfortable type) For family living needs, space planning should focus on privacy and functionality. An independent vestibule is set up at the entrance, equipped with a shoe-changing bench and a floor-to-ceiling storage cabinet. The public area adopts an integrated living-dining-kitchen design: the living room has a three-seater sofa and a TV cabinet, the dining room has a six-seater dining table, and the kitchen is arranged along an L-shaped wall, equipped with a double-door refrigerator, a gas stove, and a range hood. The private area is divided by partitions: the master bedroom has a 1.8-meter bed and a wardrobe, the second bedroom has bunk beds for children, and both bedrooms have reserved positions for air conditioner installation. The bathroom adopts a dry-wet separation design, with the shower area separated from the toilet and sink to improve usage efficiency. In addition, the top space of the container can be utilized to install solar panels to meet daily electricity needs.

3. 16.6-square-meter 'Prairie Cottage' in the United States (compact and multi-functional type) This case achieves high efficiency in a small area through the utilization of vertical space and multi-functional furniture design. An observation deck is set up at the entrance, equipped with outdoor seating to form a transitional space. The interior adopts a circular layout: to the right of the entrance is the kitchen area, with a linear cabinet along the wall, embedded with a microwave, coffee maker, mini-refrigerator, and a mini washer-dryer combo; opposite the kitchen is the office area, with a foldable desk and bookshelves; next to the office area is the dining area, with an extendable dining table that can accommodate 2 people for daily meals and can be expanded to seat 4 people when needed. The bedroom area adopts a wall bed design, which can be folded up during the day to create living room space and folded down at night for sleeping; next to the wall bed is a custom wardrobe with internal divisions for hanging, folding, and drawers. The bathroom is located at the end of the container, equipped with mini-sized fixtures, including a toilet, sink, and showerhead.

Summary of layout points:

  • Clear functional zoning is required, dividing public and private areas according to usage frequency.
  • Furniture selection should focus on multi-functionality, such as foldable tables, wall beds, and platform beds.
  • Utilize vertical space, enhancing storage capacity with floor-to-ceiling storage cabinets and wall cabinets.
  • Optimize lighting and ventilation, using glass sliding doors or increasing the number of windows.
  • Reserve positions for equipment, such as air conditioners and solar panels, and plan the piping in advance.
