Container House Rain and Sun Protection
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
Container houses can achieve effective rain and sun protection through reasonable design, selection of appropriate materials, and regular maintenance, as follows:

Reasonable Design
- Roof Design: Adopt a ridge-style construction with a high center and low sides to facilitate the natural flow of rainwater and prevent water accumulation. For example, when using waterproof cloth in open warehouses, this design can effectively avoid damage to container houses caused by water accumulation.
- Three-Layer Structure: Some container houses use a three-layer structure to enhance rain and sun protection as well as thermal insulation. The outer layer is galvanized steel to resist wind and sand erosion; the middle layer is filled with rock wool as the main insulation layer, which also has some heat insulation properties to reduce heat conduction from direct sunlight; the inner layer uses PVC-coated steel plates to reduce thermal radiation. This structure reduces indoor temperature fluctuations by approximately 40% compared to traditional color steel panel houses.
Selection of Appropriate Materials
- Rainproof Materials: Use reliable rainproof materials such as thick canvas waterproof cloth, which has high density and strong abrasion resistance, capable of withstanding frequent pulling and harsh weather conditions. Ensure complete coverage of the house during installation, with edges secured by heavy objects or ropes to prevent being lifted by strong winds.
- Sunscreen Materials: Choose waterproof cloth with sunscreen coatings that can reflect ultraviolet rays, reduce internal temperature buildup, and protect heat-sensitive materials. Alternatively, when constructing container houses, select new building materials with thermal insulation properties, such as materials made from black steel plates with polystyrene foam inside, or increase the thickness of the foam for thermal insulation.
Regular Maintenance
- Protection When Not in Use: When container houses are not in use, pay attention to shading and rain protection. Direct sunlight and rain erosion are major sources of damage, and prolonged exposure outdoors can lead to surface corrosion, especially in areas with poor air quality or acid rain.
- Protection During Use: During use, avoid obstacles that may scratch the protective layer on the surface of the container during transportation, as this can easily lead to erosion and reduce the overall service life. If scratches occur, promptly use repair agents to prevent corrosion from spreading to the entire container. Additionally, regularly inspect the house for damage, mold, etc., and promptly clean surface leaves and dust to maintain ventilation and dryness.
