Container House Perimeter

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The design of the perimeter of a container house needs to comprehensively consider factors such as structural safety, functional expansion, aesthetics, and fire safety. The specific design points are as follows:

Structural Safety and Foundation Treatment

The perimeter of a container house must ensure structural stability. Usually, independent foundations are used to elevate the containers on pile foundations, which helps prevent moisture and pests and facilitates site leveling. During assembly, functional areas can be expanded by combining 2-3 containers or stacking them in an offset manner, creating spaces such as integrated living and dining areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Offset designs also create richer spatial layers and leave space for leisure courtyards or walkways on the ground floor, improving ventilation and lighting.

Functional Expansion and Space Utilization

The perimeter of a container house can be expanded in various ways. For example, an open-air balcony can be added on the roof, surrounded by an outdoor leisure area with features like small gravel paths and neon light chains to enhance the quality of life. Additionally, the container's cabinet-like structure can be creatively utilized with multi-functional furniture such as foldable beds, foldable tables, and integrated cabinets to enhance the flexibility of small living spaces.

Aesthetics and Facade Treatment

To move away from the industrial feel of containers, the perimeter facade can be enhanced in various ways, such as paint spraying, themed murals, cladding, or glass curtain walls, to create a villa-like appearance. Furthermore, color combinations can be used to create visual impact, such as pairing black glossy paint with natural wood interiors or adopting designs with distinct color contrasts.

Fire Safety and Material Selection

Fire safety is a critical consideration for the perimeter of a container house. It is best to use A-grade fire-resistant materials such as rock wool boards and fireproof cotton as fillers to meet fire resistance requirements. Additionally, electrical wires and cables should be protected with conduits, and sockets and switch boxes should be metal-plated and surface-mounted. Simple fire extinguishing equipment should be provided both inside and outside. Container houses should maintain a minimum safety distance of 6 meters between them to reduce the risk of fire spreading.
