Container House Materials

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

Common materials used in container houses include steel structural frames, sandwich panels, container corrugated panels, thermal insulation and soundproofing materials, interior decorative panels, and exterior decorative materials, etc.

Steel structural frames: These are the core supporting structures of container houses, typically made of weather-resistant steel plates or galvanized steel plates. For example, the packing boxes produced by Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. feature a fully steel structural frame. The measured wind resistance rating reaches Level 12, the earthquake resistance rating is Level 8, and the frame deformation rate is only 0.18%, far below the industry's qualified threshold of 0.3%, demonstrating the superior performance of steel structural frames under extreme conditions.

Sandwich panels: These are the main materials for the walls and roofs of container houses, consisting of two iron skins and an intermediate filler. The thickness of the iron skins generally ranges from 0.2 to 0.8 mm, with the intermediate filler being rock wool or foaming agents of different densities (some have been phased out due to substandard fire resistance). This material not only improves efficiency but also ensures basic thermal insulation and soundproofing performance of the house.

Container corrugated panels: These are used for the outer layer of walls in customized container modular integrated houses, with thicknesses ranging from 1.2 to 3.0 mm. They are roll-formed from weather-resistant steel plates or galvanized steel plates, offering good durability and corrosion resistance.

Thermal insulation and soundproofing materials: These include thermal insulation layers, soundproofing layers, etc., and are important components of the hidden works in container houses, ensuring comfort and energy efficiency during use.

Interior decorative panels: These are mostly bamboo-wood fiber panels, but can also be wood veneers, carbon crystal panels, gypsum board latex paints, etc., chosen according to usage needs to enhance the aesthetic appeal and living experience of the house.

Exterior decorative materials: These include magnesium-aluminum-manganese panels, galvanized aluminum panels, aluminum panels, metal carved panels, etc., which not only enrich the exterior appearance options of the house but also consider practical usage needs such as waterproofing and rain protection.
