Layout Plan of Container Houses

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

The characteristics of the layout plans for different types of container houses are as follows:

100-square-meter single-story luxury house:
This house is constructed by joining two containers, with an overall layout that emphasizes spatial transparency. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are designed in an open layout, forming a coherent public activity area and enhancing spatial interaction. The two bedrooms are located on either side of the house, providing privacy; the bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, offering complete functionality. The layout plan achieves spatial expansion through the horizontal joining of containers, making it suitable for small families or young groups.

120-square-meter container villa residence:
Composed of four 30-square-meter high containers, it adopts a staggered upper and lower floor layout. The two containers on the ground floor accommodate the living room, kitchen, washroom, laundry room, master bedroom (with an en-suite washroom), balcony, and utility room; the two containers on the upper floor house guest rooms (with walk-in closets and washrooms), a hall-corridor, a studio, and double balconies. The front and rear balconies on the second floor are formed through the staggered design of containers, increasing natural light and enhancing spatial hierarchy, suitable for multi-generational living or vacation needs.

Small container-renovated guesthouse hotel:
Comprising four 6-meter-long containers stacked in layers, the two containers on the ground floor serve public and auxiliary functions, including sanitary facilities, a technical room, a storage room, and a four-bed guest room; the two containers on the upper floor contain four guest rooms sharing a balcony. The layout plan achieves separation of dynamic and static areas through vertical zoning, with guest rooms concentrated on the upper floor to ensure privacy, and the balcony design enhancing the accommodation experience, suitable for short-term rentals or tourist scenarios.

“Sustainable Living Lab” residence:
Composed of six standard container modules (6055mm×2435mm×2790mm), it adopts a modular horizontal and vertical mixed layout. The entrance container is arranged horizontally, forming a three-sided enclosed courtyard; the remaining five are arranged vertically, internally divided into three bedrooms, a storage room, an experimental exhibition space, and a kitchen and bathroom area. The layout plan achieves flexible functional switching through modular design, with the courtyard and indoor space interacting, suitable for scientific research or experimental living needs.

Container office蜗居 renovation in downtown Shanghai:
Through spatial functional time-based design, the same area can switch between family and office modes. In family mode, it includes a high-ceilinged living room, bedroom, kitchen and dining area, and a children's tatami mat; in office mode, it is redivided into a work area, meeting area, etc. The layout plan achieves functional transformation through movable partitions or furniture, adapting to the compact urban living and working needs.
