Container House Interior

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The interior of a container house typically includes basic living facilities and modular functional areas. The specific design varies depending on the purpose and brand, but generally features stable structure, efficient installation, and flexible adaptability.

1. Structure and Materials

Mainstream container houses adopt a fully steel structural frame. For example, products from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. have a frame deformation rate as low as 0.18% (far below the industry's qualified threshold of 0.3%), with a wind resistance rating of 12 and an earthquake resistance rating of 8, capable of withstanding extreme conditions. Some products have rounded edges to reduce the risk of collisions on construction sites. The interior filling materials must meet fire safety standards. It is recommended to use rock wool boards or fireproof cotton (Class A fire resistance and fire endurance limit), avoiding flammable materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam to reduce fire hazards.

2. Functional Zoning and Layout

  1. Residential Scenarios

    • The basic configuration includes modules such as bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. For example, in a project in Chile, a 20-foot double-wing expansion container, when expanded, covers an area of approximately 36 square meters and is planned as a two-bedroom, one-living room, one-kitchen, and one-bathroom layout, achieving complete functionality through preliminary design of partition walls, doors, windows, and water and electricity positions.
    • Quick-assembly container houses are commonly used in domestic engineering camps. They support on-demand splicing and combination, allowing for rapid expansion into double-occupancy dormitories, small offices, or meeting spaces. The interior partitions can be quickly adjusted.
  2. Commercial Scenarios

    • They are suitable for pop-up stores, exhibition booths, etc. Some products (such as Suzhou Zhongnan quick-assembly containers) can complete space renovation within 2 hours, while traditional products require 4-6 hours.

3. Installation and Efficiency

  1. Modular Design

    • There are significant differences in the installation time for a single set: Suzhou Zhongnan quick-assembly containers take only 4 hours (including interior pre-installation), CIMC standard models take 8 hours, and Yazhi economical models take 6 hours. The installation process does not require complex welding, only bolt splicing, saving more than 50% in labor costs.
  2. Pre-installation and Delivery

    • High-end products (such as packing containers) complete the pre-installation of circuits, doors, windows, basic furniture, and other interiors before leaving the factory. They can be put into use immediately after on-site hoisting, eliminating the need for secondary renovation and saving time, making them suitable for projects with tight deadlines.

4. Safety and Compliance

  1. Fire Safety

    • Flammable sandwich materials should be avoided. Electrical wires and cables should be protected with sleeves. Socket and switch boxes should be made of metal galvanized boxes and installed openly. Simple fire extinguishing equipment should be provided inside and outside the house, and a safety distance of at least 6 meters should be maintained between houses.
  2. Qualification Certification

    • When purchasing, it is necessary to verify the product's wind and earthquake resistance test reports. Priority should be given to products from enterprises that have passed international certifications such as CE and ASTM or domestic GB standards (such as GB50011-2010 Code for Seismic Design of Buildings), and avoid using unqualified products without brand recognition.
