Key Points for Container House Installation
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
The key points for container house installation include structural stability, ground treatment, lifting and positioning, concealed works, and drainage and water supply.

Structural Stability:
- The structural stability of a container house is a core safety indicator, and it is necessary to ensure that its wind and earthquake resistance meet standards. Prioritize container houses with fully steel structural frames, which have strong deformation resistance and are suitable for long-term use.
- Check the wall thickness of the steel columns and bottom beams, with common specifications ranging from 1.5 mm to 3 mm. The thicker the wall thickness, the greater the load-bearing redundancy.
- Ensure that the weld strength meets standards, such as GB/T 19001-2016, to guarantee the overall wind and earthquake resistance of the structure.
Ground Treatment:
- Ground treatment should provide a uniform load-bearing foundation for the container house. Clear away loose soil and debris from the ground and compact the original soil layer.
- For container houses that are permanently fixed, a concrete strip foundation should be poured, with a recommended width of 30 cm to 50 cm and a depth determined by the local frost depth.
- The top surface of the foundation should be kept level, with a height difference of no more than 5 mm, to ensure that the load-bearing points are on the same horizontal plane.
Lifting and Positioning:
- When lifting, use steel wire ropes with sufficient load-bearing capacity and ensure that all lifting points are subjected to synchronous force. Avoid unilateral force that could cause the container body to twist.
- After the container body is positioned, immediately check the fit between the bottom beam and the foundation pad, and use thin steel plates to fill in any local suspended areas.
- Use a level to measure along the longitudinal and transverse directions of the bottom beam separately, and the levelness error should be controlled within 2 mm per meter.
Concealed Works:
- Concealed works include water installation, electrical installation, and moisture-proofing and waterproofing projects. It is necessary to ensure the construction quality of each link to avoid economic losses or personal safety hazards caused by subsequent problems.
- Electrical wires should not be directly tied to the steel structure but should be equipped with conduit or wire trough isolation devices to prevent electric shock.
Drainage and Water Supply:
- The ground level where the container house is installed should be higher than the surrounding ground level. Dig drainage ditches around the container body and cover the top with an inverted V-shaped canopy for rainwater drainage.
- Water supply issues can be resolved by connecting to the municipal water supply system or adding water tanks, and these two methods can be used in combination.
