Container House Handling Methods

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The handling methods for container houses mainly include selection, ground treatment, hoisting and positioning, waterproofing, reinforcement, and legality processing.

  1. Selection Phase: Attention should be paid to the structural type of the container house. Common types include welded integral containers and bolt-connected assembled containers. Welded containers have strong resistance to deformation and are suitable for frequent hoisting and movement; for assembled containers, it is necessary to check the steel wall thickness of the columns and bottom beams, as well as the coating process on the container surface, to ensure their load-bearing capacity and corrosion resistance.

  2. Ground Treatment: The installation of a container house requires a uniform load-bearing foundation. For long-term fixed use, it is recommended to pour a concrete strip foundation; for short-term use scenarios, precast concrete pads or steel plates can be used, and it is important to ensure that the load-bearing points are on the same horizontal plane to prevent uneven settlement.

  3. Hoisting and Positioning: During hoisting, steel wire ropes with sufficient load-bearing capacity should be used, and it is essential to ensure that all lifting points are subjected to force simultaneously. After the container is positioned, the fit between the bottom beam and the foundation pad should be checked, and a level should be used to detect any horizontal errors to ensure the stability of the container.

  4. Waterproofing: Waterproofing is crucial for container houses. Waterproof adhesive can be applied to the roof to extend its service life. Additionally, attention should be paid to waterproofing the walls, doors, and windows during the renovation process to prevent rainwater infiltration.

  5. Reinforcement: For multi-story container houses, reinforcement methods can be used to increase the load-bearing capacity of the beam components, such as using connectors to fix rectangular steel plates to the top and bottom beams of the upper and lower container floors to improve overall stability.

  6. Legality Processing: When placing a container house, it is necessary to ensure its legality, such as confirming property rights when placing it on homestead land or consulting with the government for permission when placing it on wasteland. At the same time, unauthorized housing renovations may be considered illegal structures, and relevant laws and regulations must be followed.
