Fire Safety of Container Houses

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

The fire safety of container houses requires comprehensive attention to structural materials, electrical and gas systems, fire protection facilities, and daily management.

Structural and Material Aspect: The external materials should be selected for their high fire resistance rating, non-flammable or flame-retardant treated cladding materials, avoiding flammable decorative panels. Fire barriers or fireproof layers should be installed between walls and ceilings. Independent fire compartments and escape routes should be adopted within the same building structure, with separate fire compartments and fire doors for high-risk areas such as kitchens and heating zones. Electrical wiring should run through conduits and walls, with sealed, waterproof, and fireproof pipe joints. The best filling materials for container panel houses are rock wool boards and fireproof cotton, achieving an A-grade fire resistance rating and above.

Electrical and Gas Energy Aspect: Qualified fire-resistant and flame-retardant materials should be used for electrical wiring, with concealed and standardized routing. Distribution boxes should be equipped with overload and leakage protection, with regular inspections of insulation and wiring conditions. Independent circuit loops should be set up for each functional area, with high-power equipment having independent loops and low-power modes and timers. When using gas, a dedicated gas storage tank area should be established, with proper ventilation, and gas storage tanks should be kept away from fire sources, heat sources, and entrances. Components should be regularly inspected, and leaks should be promptly addressed. Electric heating should be preferred for heating, with fire barriers set up for open-flame equipment, and pressure relief and smoke exhaust measures for combustion systems. After use, check for flammable materials nearby.

Fire Protection Facilities and Emergency Preparedness Aspect: At least one reliable smoke detection and alarm system should be installed in the house, linked with lighting, security, and emergency broadcasting systems, with backup power for smoke detection equipment. Fire extinguishers and other fire protection equipment should be provided.

Daily Management Aspect: Heat sources and fire sources should be kept away from container panel houses, with a safe distance maintained for open-flame operations. Electrical wires and cables should be protected with sleeves, and sockets and switch boxes should be made of metal-plated zinc and installed openly, equipped with simple fire extinguishing equipment. A safe distance of at least 6 meters should be maintained between container panel houses, with no unauthorized installations.
