Container House Fire Protection Standard
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
The fire protection standard for container houses requires that the combustion performance grade of building components must reach Grade A. Details are as follows:

Material Requirements
- Core Standard: For building components of container houses (including indoor load-bearing floors, ceilings, etc.), when metal sandwich panels are used, the combustion performance grade of their core materials must be Grade A. This is a fundamental requirement to ensure personnel safety and meet fire inspection conditions. For example, container houses and mobile dormitory buildings used for personnel living and office purposes must use Grade A rock wool fireproof panels.
- Material Hazards: Some temporary buildings on construction sites and illegal structures of some enterprises use flammable materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam for the core materials to save costs. These materials have poor fire resistance and safety. Sparks from electric welding, cigarette butts, etc., can ignite them, and they burn rapidly. At 80℃, they melt, deform, and drip, and the drippings can trigger more severe combustion. The combustion products are highly toxic, increase the difficulty of firefighting, and make it difficult for trapped personnel to escape.
Installation and Usage Requirements
- Installation Qualifications: The installation (and dismantling) of prefabricated light-steel-structure mobile buildings must be undertaken by construction enterprises or manufacturers with corresponding general construction contracting qualifications or steel structure professional contracting qualifications. The installation of container-type mobile buildings should be entrusted to professional installation teams.
- Usage Specifications: During use, heat sources and fire sources should not be placed close to container buildings, and a certain distance should be maintained for open-flame operations. Electrical wires and cables should be protected with sleeves. Socket and switch boxes should be made of metal galvanized boxes and installed in an exposed manner. Simple firefighting equipment should be provided inside and outside. A safety distance of at least 6 meters should be maintained between container buildings.
Acceptance and Management Requirements
- Acceptance Standards: The T/CECS 1932 - 2025 Quality Acceptance Standard for Container Houses issued by the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization specifies 12 quantitative acceptance indicators for container houses, including structural load-bearing capacity, fire resistance performance, and waterproofing lifespan.
- Management Notices: Relevant notices require that temporary buildings leaving the factory must be equipped with various documents such as the manufacturer's qualification certificate, business license, and design drawings of the mobile buildings to ensure the quality and fire safety of container houses.
