Container House Erection Specification
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
The container house erection specification mainly covers aspects such as material requirements, structural design, installation and dismantling, fire prevention and corrosion resistance, as well as dimensions and specifications:

I. Material Requirements
- Combustion Performance: The combustion performance grade of building components (including indoor load-bearing floors and ceilings) should be Grade A. When using metal sandwich panels, the combustion performance grade of the core material should also reach Grade A.
- Structural Materials: The steel structure frame should use cold-rolled welded steel profiles. For example, the floor should use 4mm thick cold-rolled steel, and the roof frame should use 3mm thick steel. The insulation layer materials should have clearly defined density and combustion grades, such as rock wool panels with a density of 120kg/m³ and a flammability grade of A, and Neopor R polystyrene panels with a density of 18kg/m³ and a flammability grade of B1.
- Door and Window Materials: Sliding windows should use Upvc window frames with 5mm transparent glass. The entrance door should be a double-sided galvanized color-coated steel plate door equipped with an aluminum alloy frame and ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber seals.
II. Structural Design
- Foundation Requirements: Containers should be connected to the roof and ground frames using bolts. The corner columns should use 3mm thick steel. The roof panel lapping should adopt a 360° seaming process to ensure waterproof performance.
- Load-Bearing and Stability: Standard 20-foot containers should have a load-bearing capacity of up to 25 tons. The container body structure should pass strength and stiffness calculations, and openings in the container walls should be reinforced.
- Modular Design: It supports the combined design of multiple containers. By assembling them, the space can be expanded to adapt to a range of applications, suitable for single-story to six-story low-rise buildings (in non-seismic areas or areas with a seismic fortification intensity of 8 degrees or below).
III. Installation and Dismantling
- Qualification Requirements: Installation should be entrusted to a professional team. The construction enterprise should have a general construction contracting qualification or a steel structure professional contracting qualification.
- Construction Specifications: On-site installation should comply with the allowable deviation standards. After completion, rust removal coating and project acceptance should be carried out. The foundation design should be combined with the site conditions to ensure there are no risks such as mudslides and floods.
IV. Fire Prevention and Corrosion Resistance
- Fire Rating: Components such as floors and ceilings should meet the B1-level fire-retardant standard and have a smoke concentration grade of Q1. Insulation materials such as rock wool panels should pass CE & GLR certifications.
- Corrosion Prevention Measures: The surface of the steel structure should undergo corrosion prevention treatment. The outer layer of the color-coated steel plate should use a galvanizing process to extend its service life.
V. Dimensions and Specifications
- Standard Dimensions: The external dimensions of a 20-foot container are 6055mm×2435mm×2591mm (height including packaging), and the internal clear height should meet the requirements for living and activities.
- Customized Design: It supports adjusting the dimensions according to the application scenario. For example, functional house modules such as shower modules and toilet modules can be freely combined.
