Container House Eaves Size Diagram

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

Currently, no container house eaves size diagram has been found, but size references for the eaves of movable panel houses and rural self-built houses are available.

Movable Panel House Eaves Sizes: The front overhang width of the roof panel of a movable panel house is typically 1000 millimeters, while the rear overhang width is 500 millimeters. This size design is mainly based on the temporary nature and rapid construction characteristics of movable panel houses. The larger front overhang width can provide some shade and rain protection for areas such as the house entrance to a certain extent, while the relatively smaller rear overhang width mainly meets basic drainage and structural stability requirements.

Rural Self-Built House Eaves Sizes:

  • General Overhang Length: It is generally recommended that the overhang length of the eaves be between 60 and 80 centimeters. Among them, 60 centimeters is a calculated balance point. This length can ensure that rainwater falls on the ground 30 centimeters away from the wall foundation, which can not only protect the wall from direct rainwater scouring but also prevent rainwater from seeping back near the wall foundation and affecting the house's foundation structure. If the local rainfall is heavy, to better drain water and protect the house, the overhang can be appropriately widened to 80 centimeters. However, when the overhang length exceeds 80 centimeters, additional cantilever beams are required for support to ensure the structural safety of the eaves and prevent structural deformation or damage due to an overly long overhang.
  • "Triple-Eyelid" Design Sizes: There is a "triple-eyelid" design. The first layer overhangs by 60 centimeters and mainly serves the basic functions of shading and rain protection. The second layer is set back by 5 centimeters to create a decorative line, adding to the aesthetic appeal and layering of the house's exterior. The third layer is further set back by 5 centimeters for edge finishing, making the overall shape of the eaves more refined. There is also a "triple-eyelid" golden structure, with a gutter that is 30 - 40 cm wide and 10 cm thick, a lower layer that is 20 cm thick, and a total width of 70 cm as the baseline. This design ensures drainage functionality while also taking into account structural stability and aesthetic appeal.
