Container House Eaves Design Drawing

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

Currently, there are no directly available design drawings for the eaves of container houses, but design ideas can be provided based on descriptions of relevant cases.

Overall Style Integration

From the case where a white double-story expandable container house is adjacent to an old-style tiled-roof residence, it can be seen that the design of the eaves of container houses should focus on integrating with the surrounding environment. If the surrounding area consists of traditional buildings, the eaves design can borrow style elements from traditional architecture, such as using eave corner lines similar to those of old-style tiled-roof residences. Design the eaves of the container house to follow the trend of the eave corner lines of the surrounding buildings, making the entire building complex visually more harmonious and unified, and avoiding a sense of abruptness.

Material Selection

  • Wooden Materials: The case of a wooden deck gently connecting with the old stone floor in the courtyard shows that wooden materials can create a natural and warm atmosphere in eaves design. Preservative-treated wood can be chosen as a decorative material for the eaves. It not only has good durability but also blends better with the natural environment, giving a sense of closeness to nature.
  • Metal Materials: If a modern and minimalist style is pursued, metal materials such as aluminum alloy are a good choice. Aluminum alloy eaves have advantages such as being lightweight, having high strength, and being corrosion-resistant. Moreover, through different surface treatment processes such as spraying and oxidation, various color and texture effects can be achieved to meet different design requirements.

Dimensions and Proportions

The dimensions and proportions of the eaves should be determined according to the overall scale and usage function of the container house. Generally, the overhang length of the eaves should not be too short; otherwise, it will not be able to effectively block rainwater. However, it should not be too long either, so as not to affect the lighting and ventilation of the house. Usually, an overhang length of 0.8 - 1.5 meters is more appropriate. At the same time, the height of the eaves should also be coordinated with the height of the house to maintain an overall sense of proportion and aesthetics.

Functional Design

  • Waterproofing and Drainage: One of the main functions of the eaves is waterproofing and drainage. Therefore, a reasonable drainage slope should be designed to ensure that rainwater can be discharged smoothly. A drainage trough can be set up below the eaves to guide the rainwater to the designated drainage pipes, preventing rainwater from dripping and causing erosion to the ground.
  • Sunshade and Heat Insulation: In hot regions, the eaves can also play a role in sunshade and heat insulation. By increasing the width of the eaves or adopting designs such as sunshades, the direct sunlight into the interior of the house can be reduced, lowering the indoor temperature and improving the comfort of living.
