Container House Design - Thermal Insulation
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
The thermal insulation design of container houses requires comprehensive consideration from multiple aspects such as materials, structure, construction techniques, and auxiliary systems:

Material Selection
- Wall Materials: Adopt a composite sandwich panel structure, such as an outer layer of anti-corrosion color-coated steel plate, a middle layer of polyurethane foam (recommended thickness of over 50mm), and an inner layer of fire-resistant gypsum board with a moisture-proof film. This effectively blocks heat conduction and controls humidity and temperature. Alternatively, polystyrene foam boards or rock wool boards can be used; these materials have low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation properties.
- Glass Components: Use insulated tempered glass to enhance thermal insulation and safety, reducing heat transfer through windows.
- Frame Materials: The frames are hot-dip galvanized to enhance anti-corrosion properties, ensuring structural stability and durability.
Structural Design
- Container Combination: Expand indoor space by splicing or staggered stacking containers, while utilizing the air layer between containers to increase thermal insulation.
- Sealing Design: Pay attention to the fit between doors, windows, and frames, and seal the corners to prevent cold air infiltration and reduce heat loss.
Construction Techniques
- Thermal Insulation Layer Construction: Install an internal thermal insulation layer on walls and roofs to ensure uniform coverage of insulation materials without gaps. Use appropriate sealing materials at splices and connections to prevent heat leakage.
- Splicing Techniques: Excellent sealing techniques can reduce gaps at panel splices, avoiding cold bridge effects and improving overall thermal insulation performance.
Auxiliary Systems
- Heating and Cooling Systems: Configure floor heating, air conditioning, or heat pump auxiliary heating technologies based on climate conditions to ensure stable indoor temperatures. For example, in extremely cold environments, a multi-layer thermal insulation system combined with a heating system can be used to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
- Shading and Ventilation Design: Install roof eaves, balcony sunshades, or adjustable sunshade canopies to prevent overheating in summer; set up bottom ventilation slots to promote air circulation and improve indoor comfort.
