Container House Construction Method
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
The construction of container houses requires sequential completion of steps such as selection, ground treatment, and hoisting into place, with attention to key technical requirements such as structural load-bearing and fire prevention and corrosion resistance.

1. Selection Phase
Select the structural type based on the usage scenario:
- Welded Integral Container: Factory-welded as a whole, with a direct load path and strong resistance to deformation, suitable for frequent hoisting and moving scenarios.
- Bolt-Connected Modular Container: Composed of standard panels connected by bolts. Focus on checking the wall thickness of the columns and bottom beams (common specifications: 1.5-3 mm). The thicker the wall, the greater the load-bearing redundancy.
- Coating Process: Prioritize hot-dip galvanizing, which has a significantly longer corrosion resistance life than cold-dip galvanizing, especially suitable for areas with large diurnal temperature differences and significant humidity changes.
2. Ground Treatment
- Foundation Requirements: After removing loose soil and debris, compact the original soil layer. For long-term use, pour a concrete strip foundation (width: 30-50 cm, depth determined by the frost line). The horizontal height difference of the foundation top surface should not exceed 5 mm.
- Short-term Use Solution: Use prefabricated concrete pads or steel pads with a spacing not exceeding 2 meters. Lay a crushed stone leveling layer underneath to ensure uniform load distribution.
3. Hoisting into Place
- Hoisting Specifications: Use steel wire ropes with sufficient load-bearing capacity to ensure that all lifting points are subjected to synchronous force, avoiding unilateral force that could cause distortion of the container body.
- Precision Control: After the container body is placed, check the fit between the bottom beam and the foundation pad. Use thin steel sheets to fill any local gaps. The horizontal error should be controlled within 2 mm per meter.
4. Key Technical Requirements
- Structural Load-Bearing: In a pure steel frame load-bearing system, wall panels, roof panels, and glass do not bear loads. The load path is "panel secondary beam → main beam → corner column → corner fitting → foundation/lower container". The corner fitting is the only stacking load transfer point.
- Fire Prevention and Corrosion Resistance: Do not use flammable core materials such as EPS for enclosure filling. For crowded places, use Class A rock wool/glass wool. Steel structures should be treated with fire-resistant coatings and equipped with escape routes, fire extinguishers, and other fire protection facilities.
- Combination and Expansion: Functional space can be expanded through horizontal and vertical stacking of containers. However, ensure the connection technology of multi-story frames and the ability to handle waterproof joints.
