Container House Configuration Standard

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The configuration standard for container houses should be comprehensively considered from aspects such as structural design, spatial combination, functional use, material and mobility, internal configuration, and fire and corrosion prevention.

Structural Design: It is necessary to follow the 'Building Structural Design Code' to ensure a reasonable frame structure and guarantee the stability of the house in different environments. For example, in earthquake-prone areas, a more robust frame structure should be adopted; in areas with strong winds, wind-resistant design should be considered. For long-term residential and office spaces, the structural design needs to be more rigorous.

Spatial Combination: Container houses can be classified into various forms based on spatial combination, including single-box landing, horizontal container stacking, vertical container stacking, and creative combinations such as offset, overhanging, L-shaped, and U-shaped enclosures. Different combination methods are suitable for different scenarios. For instance, single-box landing can be used for small shops and sentry boxes; horizontal container stacking for conference rooms and exhibition halls; vertical container stacking for dormitories and hotels; and creative combinations like offset or overhanging for trendy homestays and cafes.

Functional Use: Container houses can be categorized by functional use into accommodation, office, commercial services, bathroom, and special types (medical containers, equipment containers, laboratory containers, explosion-proof/refrigerated containers), etc. Different functional uses have varying requirements for house configuration, necessitating customization based on actual needs.

Material and Mobility: In terms of materials, steel is the most commonly used, aluminum alloy is light but expensive, and composite sandwich panel containers offer good thermal insulation. Regarding mobility, they can be classified into fixed (hoisting), towed mobile, and foldable transport types, etc., which should be selected based on the usage scenario and transportation requirements.

Internal Configuration: The internal configuration of container houses should be customized according to customer needs, including the installation of kitchens, bathrooms, air conditioning equipment, and the design of reasonable partitions and storage spaces.

Fire and Corrosion Prevention: The use of flammable core materials such as EPS in enclosure filling is prohibited. Non-combustible materials like Grade A rock wool/glass wool should be used in crowded places. Steel structures require fire protection treatment and should be equipped with corresponding fire safety facilities, such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
