Container House Ceiling Decoration

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The ceiling decoration of container houses requires comprehensive consideration of material selection, construction techniques, and design styles. It is recommended to use light steel keels paired with fire-resistant panels, with a focus on moisture resistance, fire prevention, and structural stability.

1. Material Selection

For the ceiling of container houses, priority should be given to materials that are moisture-resistant, fire-resistant, and deformation-resistant. Light steel keels are an ideal choice, as their galvanized steel structure effectively resists moisture and fire, with a lifespan more than three times that of wooden keels. Although wooden keels are low-cost, they are prone to moisture-induced deformation, mold, and insect infestation, and have poor stability, making them not recommended. Fire-resistant aluminum ceiling panels, aluminum grid channels, and other metal panels are also suitable for container ceilings, especially in areas requiring fire protection, such as kitchens and bathrooms. If a natural style is desired, natural wood ceilings can be chosen, but proper internal insulation and moisture-proofing must be done to prevent wood cracking due to temperature or humidity changes.

2. Construction Techniques

Construction should follow standardized procedures to ensure structural safety. The first step is layout and positioning, using a laser level to accurately mark lines and determine the finished ceiling height, avoiding difficulties in aligning lighting fixtures and air conditioning vents later. The second step is keel installation, with main keel spacing not exceeding 1200mm, hanger spacing not exceeding 1200mm, and secondary keel spacing between 300-400mm, ensuring compliance with standards to prevent gypsum board joint cracking or ceiling deformation. The third step is panel fixation, using self-tapping screws for gypsum boards and leaving expansion joints; for metal panels, using dedicated keel clips to ensure panel flatness.

3. Design Styles

The ceiling design of container houses should coordinate with the overall style. Modern minimalist styles can adopt flat ceilings or grid ceilings, paired with hidden light strips to create a technological ambiance; natural styles can choose natural wood ceilings, paired with round or square windows to increase natural light and ventilation; industrial styles can retain the original corrugated panels of the container, paired with black metal frames to highlight mechanical aesthetics. If space is limited, curved ceilings or floor-to-ceiling bookshelf dividers can be used to optimize movement paths and quiet zone divisions.
