Container House Bottom Structure

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The bottom structure of a container house mainly includes key components such as the bottom beam structure, ground treatment, support components, and anti-corrosion treatment.

The bottom beam structure serves as the foundational framework for the bottom of a container house, typically made of I-beams or channel steel. The bottom beams not only bear the weight of the entire container but also evenly distribute the load to the ground. To enhance structural stability, some designs incorporate C-shaped steel purlins between the bottom beams, further distributing the load and ensuring stability even when containers are stacked in multiple layers. For example, Baotou Xinxing Color Plate Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has achieved structural stability for containers stacked three layers high by adding purlins.

Ground treatment is a crucial step in the installation of container houses. Due to the limited contact area between the container bottom beams and the ground, placing them directly on soft soil can lead to excessive local pressure and uneven settlement. Therefore, the ground needs to be compacted, and for long-term fixed installations, a concrete strip foundation should be poured, with a recommended width of 30 to 50 centimeters and a depth determined by the local frost line thickness. The top surface of the foundation should be kept level, with a height difference of no more than 5 millimeters, to ensure even load distribution on the container.

Support components are used to enhance the structural stability of container houses. For instance, in the patented design of Qingdao Senlinhe RV Co., Ltd., a bottom support frame is installed on the underside of the bottom container panel, forming a stable support framework together with the top support frame and the front and rear container panels. This design not only strengthens the structural stability but also enables the container house to be folded and unfolded, facilitating transportation and installation.

Anti-corrosion treatment is key to extending the service life of container houses. Steel is prone to rusting in environments with windblown sand and temperature variations in northwest China, so the container surface needs to be shot-blasted to remove rust and then coated with a zinc-rich primer and a polyurethane topcoat. This protective system can maintain the effective service life of the steel for more than 15 years, significantly reducing maintenance costs.
