Container House Accessories Details

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The detailed drawings and descriptions of the main accessories for container houses cover core components such as frames, panels, and corner fittings, with specific structures and dimensions varying according to purpose and specifications. The following provides an explanation from four aspects: frame structure, panel types, corner fittings and connectors, and size specifications.

1. Frame Structure
The frame of a container house is typically made of galvanized steel or C-shaped steel. Taking a standard 20-foot container as an example, the main frame components include:

  • Corner Posts: Located at the four corners of the container, connecting the side panels and end panels. They are generally 6mm thick and about 2400mm high, with multiple bends to enhance structural strength.
  • Channel Steel and Square Tubes: Used to support the side and roof panels, such as U-shaped channel steel (12mm thick) and 60×60mm square tubes, forming a grid-like skeleton to ensure overall stability.
  • End Panels and Thresholds: The end panels are made of 2mm thick steel plates with a corrugated design to increase rigidity. The threshold, located below the door, is 4mm thick and bears the pressure from personnel and cargo entering and exiting.

2. Panel Types
The enclosure structure of the house mainly relies on the following panels:

  • Corrugated Panels: Used for side panels, roof panels, and front end panels, with a standard thickness of 2mm and a corrugation spacing of about 208mm, reducing weight while improving resistance to deformation.
  • Sandwich Panels: High-end or duplex container houses often use color-coated steel sandwich panels (filled with polyurethane or rock wool), with a thickness of 50-100mm, providing thermal insulation, sound insulation, and fire resistance.
  • Rock Wool Panels: Some accessories include rock wool panels, used for partition walls or floors, with a density of 80-120kg/m³ and a fire resistance limit of up to 1-2 hours.

3. Corner Fittings and Connectors

  • Standard Corner Fittings: Each container is equipped with eight cast steel corner fittings (dimensions 178×162×118mm), located at the top and bottom of the four corners, used for lifting, stacking, and securing, with hole designs conforming to international standards.
  • Screws and Hinges: The frame is assembled using high-strength bolts (such as M12 or M16) without welding. The door panels are connected to the corner posts via hinges to ensure smooth opening and closing.

4. Size Specifications
The dimensions of container houses are based on the modification of standard containers:

  • External Dimensions: A 20-foot container measures 5898×2352×2390mm, while a 40-foot container measures 12024×2352×2390mm. The height can be increased to 2896mm (high cube) as needed.
  • Internal Clear Height: After deducting the thickness of the floor and roof panels, it is usually 2100-2300mm, meeting the needs of personnel activities.
  • Duplex Structure: By joining multiple containers (such as three 40-foot containers), a two-story house can be formed, with a total area of up to 80㎡, including a living room, bedroom, and office area.

Design Basis: The frame structure refers to the "Design Code for Steel Structures of Containers", the panel performance complies with the GB/T 23932-2009 "Metal-faced Thermal Insulation Sandwich Panels for Buildings" standard, and the corner fitting dimensions follow the ISO 1161 international standard.
