Portable Toilets for Construction Sites

Admin 02 de octubre de 2026

Portable toilets used on construction sites are facilities that can be moved as a whole, providing toilet services for construction workers. They have advantages such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation, and come in various structural forms, mobility methods, and sewage treatment methods.

Composition Structure

Portable toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobility devices. These components work together to ensure that the portable toilet can function properly, providing users with a relatively comfortable and hygienic toilet environment.

Advantages and Characteristics

Their greatest advantage lies in mobility. They can be easily transported to any location on a construction site where toilets are needed and can be used repeatedly. This characteristic makes them highly suitable for construction sites, where the construction location may change and the demand for toilets is temporary and flexible.

Classification

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure portable toilets and composite-structure portable toilets. Single-structure toilets are relatively simple and independent, suitable for situations with limited space or a small demand for toilet numbers. Composite-structure toilets are more complex and may be composed of multiple single units, meeting larger-scale toilet demands.
  • By mobility method: They are classified into lifting and handling portable toilets, and powered and towed portable toilets. Lifting and handling portable toilets mainly rely on lifting equipment for movement. Powered and towed portable toilets have their own power or can be moved by vehicle towing, making movement more convenient.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction portable toilets, circulating water-flush portable toilets, and dry-packing portable toilets. Water-flush and waterless-flush suction portable toilets treat fecal sewage through water flushing or suction. Circulating water-flush portable toilets recycle flushing water, saving water resources. Dry-packing portable toilets pack feces in biodegradable bags, requiring no water.

For example, Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. once customized portable toilets with different numbers of squatting positions according to the gender ratio of workers in a customer's factory. They also offer customized services for row toilets, with toilet colors and internal sanitary ware configurations customizable according to requirements.
