Chongqing Creative Mobile Toilets
Chongqing indeed has creative mobile toilet practices, mainly including vehicle-mounted mobile public toilets and creatively designed public toilets.

Vehicle-mounted Mobile Public Toilets
Chongqing once introduced a service model where vehicle-mounted mobile public toilets could be hailed on the street. This model attracted attention from netizens due to its novelty. These toilets fully consider the privacy needs of users in their design. Through reasonable layout and facility configuration, they effectively safeguard the privacy and safety of users. This innovative service model not only provides citizens with more convenient and flexible toilet options but also reflects the humanization and innovation of urban public services.
Creatively Designed Public Toilets
Jiulongpo District in Chongqing is at the forefront of creative public toilet construction. The first creative public toilet made its debut at Baimadang Bus Stop in Jiulongpo District on January 13, 2014. It resembles a transformer in shape, covers an area of over 50 square meters, and has well-equipped internal facilities, including 6 squatting positions for women, 3 squatting positions for men, 2 urinals, and a restroom for the disabled, fully meeting the needs of different groups of people. In addition, the district plans to build and put into use 21 creative public toilets on main and secondary roads and in business districts before the Spring Festival. These toilets have diverse shapes, including animals, cameras, tanks, computers, etc., designed by professors from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, combining local economic and cultural characteristics. They not only provide convenience for citizens but also become a beautiful landscape of the city.
These creative public toilets not only focus on exterior design but also fully consider practicality. For example, they are equipped with rest stations for sanitation workers, which have drinking fountains, microwaves, and other facilities, providing a place for sanitation workers to rest and replenish supplies. At the same time, the shapes of these toilets are inspired by industries in the district, such as the transformer originating from ABB Company, reflecting the integration of the city and industry and benefiting more than 200,000 citizens.
