Chaoyang Mobile Toilet Renovation

Admin 21 de septiembre de 2026

The renovation of mobile toilets in Chaoyang is mainly reflected in aspects such as accelerated construction, modular design, environmental protection upgrades, enhanced user experience, and applications in urban infrastructure.

Accelerating the construction of mobile public toilets: To address the mismatch between the number of public toilets and the scale of passenger flow in some areas, Chaoyang District has taken Guilin Road Business District as a pilot project and collaborated with third-party enterprises to promote the construction of high-standard mobile public toilets. For example, due to well-planned development and limited available land in Guilin Road Business District, it is planned to set up a mobile public toilet managed by dedicated personnel. Subsequent optimizations and adjustments will be made based on operational performance, and the model will be gradually extended to other business districts. This initiative effectively alleviates the pressure on toilet facilities in high-passenger-flow areas and improves the efficiency of public service provision.

Adopting modular design: Mobile public toilets feature movable independent unit structures, eliminating the need for deep foundation excavation or large-scale civil engineering works. Their deployment speed is significantly faster than that of traditional fixed public toilets. Their locations can be flexibly adjusted according to large-scale events, seasonal crowd changes, or temporary construction needs. For instance, additional units can be set up during holidays or exhibitions, or rapidly deployed around construction sites to fill service gaps in the fixed public toilet network and enhance resource utilization efficiency.

Upgrading environmental protection design: Water-saving or waterless flushing technologies are widely applied in the renovation. Some models use microbial degradation or chemical decomposition technologies to treat excreta, significantly reducing water consumption; vacuum suction technology completes cleaning with minimal water, lowering water resource consumption. Meanwhile, independent waste treatment or storage systems are integrated inside for subsequent centralized and environmentally friendly disposal, reducing reliance on urban sewer networks and aligning with green and sustainable development concepts.

Focusing on enhancing user experience: The interiors of public toilets are equipped with forced exhaust systems to improve air circulation; energy-saving LED lighting provides sufficient illumination; surface materials are selected for easy cleaning and anti-sticking properties, reducing daily cleaning difficulties. Additionally, some units are equipped with barrier-free facilities, such as spacious third toilets, handrails, and call buttons, to meet the needs of special groups and embody humanized design concepts.

Applications in urban infrastructure: The renovation of mobile public toilets also serves urban renewal projects. For example, in the renovation of old residential communities in Chaoyang District, Beijing, in 2022, modular mobile public toilets were used to address toilet needs for residents and workers during construction. With an average daily usage of 300 person-times per unit, they not only ensured construction progress but also maintained residents' quality of life, demonstrating the flexibility and practicality of mobile public toilets in temporary public service scenarios.
