Chaoshan Container House Installation
The installation of container houses in the Chaoshan region needs to be combined with structural types and construction specifications, with a focus on controlling foundation treatment, module assembly, connection and fixation, and acceptance inspection. The following explains in three aspects: installation process, technical key points, and precautions.

I. Installation Process and Adaptation to Structural Types
The installation process of container houses needs to be adjusted according to the structural type. Taking assembled container houses as an example, the ground needs to be leveled or a workbench needs to be set up first. The bottom corners of the container are connected to the bottom beams with hexagon socket bolts, but they are not fastened temporarily. After adjusting the diagonal difference of the bottom frame to be ≤ 3mm, they are completely fixed. Then, π-shaped secondary beams are installed and fixed to the positioning holes of the long beams with M5.5×19 self-tapping screws. ST4.8×16 round-head self-drilling screws need to be added at the top. The floor base plates are laid along the 6-meter direction, and the joints need to be chamfered according to the chalk lines. The floor is fixed with ST4.2×38 cross-head dovetail screws, and the nail spacing is 300-350mm. For foldable containers, the stability of the steel wire ropes needs to be checked first. The main frame is lifted and unfolded, and then support rods are placed. The walls are pushed open one by one and the screws are tightened. Finally, it is lifted to the predetermined position. Packed container houses adopt the "factory prefabrication + on-site installation" mode. After the unit modules are manufactured in the factory, they are assembled on site through modules such as the structural system and the ground system.
II. Technical Key Points and Construction Specifications
- Foundation Treatment: For long-term outdoor use scenarios, it is necessary to plan the flatness of the foundation in advance and embed drainage pipes to avoid later tilting or water accumulation. Concrete piers can be made at the bottom to improve wind and earthquake resistance. For example, steel frames can be used to reinforce the corners, and anti-corrosion wood exterior wall treatment can extend the service life.
- Module Assembly: When assembling, it is necessary to ensure that the connection points are aligned. For example, when a duplex container house is assembled from three 40-foot containers, structural stability is achieved through galvanized frames and color-steel sandwich panels. After assembly, the size reaches 11.8m×6.75m×2.8m, and the usable area is 80 square meters.
- Connection and Fixation: All connection points should preferably use detachable fasteners. For example, the residential containers at the Chaozhou construction site use detachable fasteners. After disassembly, the components can be packed and stored by category, and the original structural form can still be maintained during secondary assembly. Packed container houses achieve steel frame structure connections through bolts and aluminum fittings, with a wind resistance rating of Level 9 and an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8.
III. Precautions and Acceptance Standards
During the installation process, it is necessary to strictly follow safety regulations. For example, when installing foldable containers, non-staff members should stay away from the installation area to avoid the risk of crane or container falling. The installation of packed container houses does not generate construction waste. After the project is demolished, the site should be cleaned up to avoid environmental pollution. During acceptance, the structural stability should be checked, such as whether the diagonal difference of the bottom frame is ≤ 3mm, whether the nail spacing of the floor meets the standard of 300-350mm, and whether the wall connections are tight and free of looseness.
