Changzhi Mobile Toilet Renovation
Changzhi's mobile toilet renovation enhances urban service quality through two approaches: standardized upgrades in the main urban area and specialized adaptations for construction site scenarios.

Main Urban Area Renovation Focuses on Standardization and Humanized Services
The main urban area of Changzhi City has advanced the mobile prefabricated public restroom (urban驿站) project through public bidding, defining budget and construction period standards: 30-square-meter hoisting-type units to be delivered within 30 days, prefabricated units to have materials delivered within 30 days, and installation and commissioning to be completed within 180 days. The project has uniformly named 26 rest stations as "Changzhi Rest Stations" and introduced the "Public Restroom Management and Service Standards," detailing aspects such as the height of washbasins, the width of barrier-free passages, the types of green plants, and the list of medicines in convenience boxes. For example, the flagship rest station in the Sports Park integrates rest, emergency, and convenience services within an 1800-square-meter space, serving over a thousand people daily and becoming a benchmark for urban services. The public restroom in Lufang Lane Park, after renovation, blends into the garden landscape and features a "three nos and two haves" notice board (no odors, no mosquitoes and flies, no accumulated feces, with hand sanitizer and toilet paper available), significantly improving the user experience. Currently, over a hundred public restrooms in the main urban area have completed standardized renovations, covering core areas.
Construction Site Scenarios Emphasize Modularity and Intelligent Adaptation
For temporary scenarios such as construction sites, environmental protection companies offer modular mobile restroom systems, utilizing lightweight steel structures and high-density composite panels that support individual transportation and rapid assembly within 4 hours without the need for foundation construction. The system has dynamic expansion capabilities, with multi-cabin combinations able to meet the needs of over a hundred people during peak periods or adapt to single-point configurations in remote locations. Technologically, it incorporates dual-mode treatment systems for biological degradation and vacuum collection, achieving zero sewage overflow, controllable odors, and winter freeze protection. The volume ratio of the water tank to the waste tank has been calibrated through field tests, supporting the daily use of 30 people with a single water fill and extending the cleaning cycle to 57 days, reducing logistical scheduling frequency. Additionally, the system offers customization services: for working conditions such as high temperatures from asphalt paving and heavy dust from concrete pouring, sunshade roofs and wet-dry separation partitions can be added; for scenarios with limited space along pipeline trenches, narrow-alley hoisting chassis can be fitted; it can also be connected to smart construction site management platforms for real-time monitoring of water usage, frequency of use, and cleaning reminders, optimizing resource allocation.
Changzhi has driven urban quality upgrades through a dual-wheel approach of standardized construction and scenario-based innovation, enhancing the inclusiveness of urban public services while addressing functional needs in special scenarios, providing a replicable practical model for urban quality enhancement.
