Ceramic Tile Container House Design

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

Ceramic tiles can be used in the design of container houses in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and public spaces. It is necessary to select ceramic tile types that are slip-resistant, waterproof, and wear-resistant according to the characteristics of the space, and pay attention to color matching and functional zoning.

1. Kitchen Area

The kitchen is an area in container houses where water is frequently used and is prone to oil stains. When choosing ceramic tiles, emphasis should be placed on waterproof, oil-resistant, and easy-to-clean properties. For the walls, glazed tiles with a glossy finish can be selected. Their smooth surface makes it easy to wipe off oil stains, and they offer a wide range of color choices to enhance the brightness of the space. For the floor, it is recommended to use slip-resistant matte tiles to prevent slipping due to water stains. At the same time, the matte texture can hide minor scratches and maintain long-term aesthetics. In a galley kitchen with a compact layout, ceramic tiles with a standard size of 300mm×600mm can be chosen to reduce the number of seams and lower the cleaning difficulty.

2. Bathroom Area

The bathroom has extremely high requirements for the waterproof and slip-resistant properties of ceramic tiles. For the walls, ceramic mosaics or full-polished glazed tiles can be selected. They have low water absorption rates and can effectively prevent water from penetrating into the walls. For the floor, slip-resistant floor tiles must be used, such as imitation stone ceramic tiles with a rough texture on the surface, which can increase friction and ensure safety during use. The edge treatment should adopt a rounded design to avoid磕碰 (bumping into) sharp corners. At the same time, expansion joints should be reserved during tile installation to prevent cracking due to the thermal expansion and contraction of the container. If space allows, a dry-wet zoning can be set up. Dark-colored slip-resistant tiles can be used in the wet area (shower area), and light-colored glossy tiles can be used in the dry area (wash area) to distinguish functions through color and material.

3. Bedroom and Public Areas

For the bedroom, emphasis should be placed on the comfort and aesthetics of ceramic tiles. For the floor, wood-look tiles can be selected. Their imitation wood texture can create a warm atmosphere, and their wear resistance is better than that of solid wood floors, making them suitable for the mobile nature of container houses. If ceramic tiles are used on the walls, it is recommended to choose small-sized tiles with a matte texture, such as 200mm×200mm hexagonal tiles, which can increase the interest of the space through irregular installation. For public areas such as the living room, ceramic tile types can be selected according to the design style. For example, large-sized gray glossy tiles are suitable for a minimalist style, and cement-textured antique tiles are suitable for an industrial style.

4. Color and Style Matching

The color of ceramic tiles should be coordinated with the overall style of the container house. For small spaces, it is recommended to use light-colored ceramic tiles, such as off-white and light gray, which can visually expand the sense of space. If dark-colored ceramic tiles are used, a large area of white space or mirror decorations should be used to balance the sense of oppression. Functional zoning can be distinguished through the color or texture of ceramic tiles. For example, different color schemes of ceramic tiles can be used in the kitchen and living room to clearly define the area boundaries.
