Cement House Prefabricated Panel

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

Cement house prefabricated panels are materials used in house construction where prefabricated panels are the main components. These panels are cement components prefabricated in factories.

Manufacturing Process: When making cement house prefabricated panels, first, a hollow mold is nailed together using wooden planks. After reasonably arranging steel bars in the hollow part of the mold, cement is poured to fill the hollow section. Once the cement dries completely, the wooden planks are knocked off, and what remains is the prefabricated panel. Prefabricated panels come in two types: solid and hollow. The hollow structure achieves lightweighting by reducing the non-load-bearing concrete, ensuring structural strength while reducing material usage and component self-weight.

Architectural Applications: Prefabricated panels have a wide range of applications in the construction field. For example, they are used as covers for ditches beside highways, protecting the ditches while facilitating the passage of people and vehicles. On rooftops, prefabricated panels are commonly used as insulation layers, effectively blocking heat transfer and improving the indoor thermal environment. In addition, they play an important role in some temporary buildings, simple warehouses, and other projects.

Dimensions and Specifications: The dimensions of prefabricated panels are clearly regulated. In terms of span, the longest prefabricated panels for residential use are 4.2 meters to meet the span requirements of different building spaces. Widths of 500mm and 600mm are relatively common, facilitating construction, installation, and combination. Common thicknesses include 120mm and 150mm, which are selected according to load-bearing requirements and usage scenarios.

Development History and Current Situation: Prefabricated panel houses originated in the early 20th century. In China, most residential buildings constructed before 1985 adopted this type of structure. With the continuous progress of construction technology, cast-in-place concrete and prefabricated buildings have gradually replaced traditional prefabricated panel houses. Existing prefabricated panel houses generally have some problems, such as weak earthquake resistance, making them vulnerable to damage during earthquakes and other natural disasters; poor sound and heat insulation, affecting living comfort; and a relatively short service life of about 30 - 50 years. However, prefabricated panels also have advantages, such as shortening the construction period and reducing costs. Since 2022, China has implemented a policy of renovating old buildings, focusing on repairing and renovating prefabricated panel houses and only demolishing buildings that meet the criteria for dangerous buildings to ensure the居住 safety (living safety, here it keeps the original Chinese pinyin as a proper noun concept in English context for the specific policy term, you may replace it with a more accurate English equivalent if there is one) and quality of life of residents.
