Quartz Cabin in Cornwall, UK
The Quartz Cabin in Cornwall, UK, is a prime example of container houses. It features a bold blue exterior that makes it stand out in its surroundings. The cabin reveals exposed corrugated steel, a design that not only showcases the original texture of the container but also adds a rugged industrial aesthetic. Additionally, the extensive use of glass doors and windows allows ample natural light to flood the interior, dispelling any potential gloominess inside the container and providing occupants with a comfortable experience bathed in natural light. This design cleverly combines industrial elements with natural lighting, offering new ideas for container house design.
Container Hotel (Křešice)
The Container Hotel (Křešice) also has its unique features. Its exterior combines exposed container walls with spruce wood decorations, preserving the original form of the container while adding a touch of nature and warmth to the overall appearance. Internally, birch plywood and custom-made furniture are used. The birch plywood creates a warm and cozy indoor atmosphere, while the custom-made furniture is designed according to the spatial characteristics of the container, making full use of the limited space and enhancing the comfort and practicality of living.
