Box-type Mobile Toilet Standard

Admin 24 de septiembre de 2026

The standards for box-type mobile toilets (container restrooms) cover internal facility configurations, industry standards, rental service specifications, and management requirements, as detailed below:

I. Internal Facility Configuration Standards

  1. Core Sanitary Fixtures

    • Toilet Systems: Primarily direct-discharge or vacuum toilet systems. Direct-discharge systems require connection to municipal sewage pipes or septic tanks; vacuum toilets are highly water-efficient (0.5-1 liters per flush) and suitable for remote areas without sewage networks. High-end configurations may feature ceramic squat or sit toilets with automatic flush sensors.
    • Sinks: Standard stainless steel or ceramic basins with hot and cold water mixing taps. Hot water systems typically use electric water heaters (6-10 liters) or instant heaters.
    • Urinals: Male-specific or additional sensor-flush urinals in larger restrooms.
  2. Auxiliary Functions and Facilities

    • Lighting and Ventilation: LED moisture-proof lights (brightness ≥300Lux) and powerful exhaust fans (air exchange rate ≥40m³/h).
    • Flooring and Walls: Slip-resistant, waterproof PVC flooring or epoxy flooring; walls made of integrated fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) or high-strength metal panels with sealed joints.
    • Temperature Control Systems: In cold regions, insulation layers and electric heaters or warm air blowers (500-1000W) are required to maintain an internal temperature of ≥5℃ in winter.
  3. Extended Configurations

    • Accessibility Features: Includes widened doors (≥90cm), grab bars, low-position sinks, and specialized toilets.
    • Smart Systems: Automatic soap dispensers, hand dryers, smart toilet seats (with heating and flushing functions), and remote monitoring systems (to track toilet occupancy, consumable levels, and wastewater tank levels).
    • Wastewater Collection Systems: In areas without sewage access, integrated wastewater tanks (500-1000 liters) at the bottom of containers are equipped with level alarms.

II. Industry Standards and Requirements

  1. Facility Performance

    • Faucets and valves must be water-saving products; electrical equipment must have an IPX4 waterproof rating; internal ceiling height ≥2.0 meters; door locks must prevent accidental locking from the inside.
    • Sewage outlet size: DN110; power outlet: 220V/380V; water supply outlet: DN15/DN20.
  2. Hygiene and Cleaning

    • Comprehensive cleaning, including disinfection, toilet paper replacement, and hand soap replenishment, every 2-3 hours during events; large rental companies provide 24-hour on-site services.
    • Sewage disposal must feature leak-proof designs with separate wastewater tanks and waste collection buckets; disinfection of tank interiors and exteriors is required after cleaning.
  3. Special Scenario Adaptations

    • Temporary shower facilities require additional consideration of water and electricity connections and drainage design.
    • Accessible toilet stalls must reserve space for wheelchair access, with grab bar heights controlled at approximately 0.75 meters.

III. Rental Service Specifications
Rental service providers must offer equipment transportation, installation and commissioning, cleaning and maintenance, and emergency repair services, along with a Mobile Toilet Configuration List specifying the number of toilet stalls, functional types, and service periods. The standard configuration is one toilet stall per 100-150 people; for example, a 5,000-person event is recommended to have 40-50 toilet stalls with a male-to-female ratio of 1:1.5.

IV. Management Considerations
Temporary facilities must display notices indicating their purpose, service targets, and operating hours. Management must assess whether to open them to the public to avoid resource idleness.
