Box-type Container House Manufacturing

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Box-type container house manufacturing is the process of dividing a building into standardized modules, prefabricating them in a factory, and then transporting them to the site for assembly into a complete building. Its core processes include design and division, factory prefabrication, transportation and lifting, on-site assembly, and acceptance and maintenance, as detailed below:

Design and Division

Based on the building's functional and structural requirements, the entire building is divided into independent modules such as the floor, roof, and four sides. Each module includes the main structure, plumbing and electrical systems, and interior decoration. For example, Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. divides a house into six components, which are produced simultaneously on multiple sub-production lines and then assembled into a complete container at the end of the production line.

Factory Prefabrication

All construction processes for the modules are completed in the factory, including welding of the main structure, embedding of plumbing and electrical systems, waterproofing of bathrooms, installation of sanitary equipment, and customization of cabinets and wardrobes. Automated production lines and robots work together, such as the steel structure modular intelligent production line in a smart factory in Guangdong, which can produce up to 50 modules per day with manufacturing precision consistently controlled between 1 and 2 millimeters.

Transportation and Lifting

The prefabricated modules are transported to the project site by sea or land and lifted into place using cranes and other equipment. The module design must consider the convenience of transportation and lifting, such as using standardized dimensions and lightweight materials to reduce transportation costs and lifting difficulty.

On-site Assembly

The modules transported to the site are assembled according to design requirements, fixed together through bolting, welding, and other methods to form a complete building. The assembly process is similar to building with blocks, with multiple processes carried out simultaneously, significantly shortening the construction period. For example, a smart construction industrial park in Shenzhen can produce a complete set of building modules every 20 minutes, reducing the overall construction period by more than 60% compared to traditional construction methods.

Acceptance and Maintenance

After assembly, quality acceptance is carried out to check whether the structural stability, plumbing and electrical functions, and interior decoration meet the design requirements. During use, regular maintenance and upkeep of the box-type container house are required, such as checking for loose connecting bolts and cracked walls, to ensure its safety and durability.
