The specifications of box container houses vary depending on their design, purpose, and combination method, with several common types as follows:

I. Standard Container House Specifications

Standard container houses are based on 20-foot and 40-foot containers, with dimensions referring to international standard container specifications:

• 20-foot container: External dimensions are 5898mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height), with an internal usable area of approximately 14-18 square meters, suitable for single or double occupancy and small office spaces.
• 40-foot container: External dimensions are 12024mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height), with an internal usable area of approximately 28-36 square meters, which can be expanded to larger spaces through splicing to meet the needs of multiple occupants or multifunctional use.

II. Modular Combination Specifications

Box container houses adopt a modular design, with 1K (1.82 meters) as the length module and 1P (0.895 meters) as the height module, supporting horizontal and vertical combinations:

• Width specifications: Commonly available in 2K (3.79 meters), 3K (5.61 meters), 4K (7.43 meters), and 5K (9.25 meters), which can be flexibly selected according to site requirements.
• Height specifications: For sloped-roof single-story structures, the height is 3P (2.69 meters); for double-story structures, it is 6P (5.37 meters). For flat-roof single-story structures, the height is 3P+290mm (2.98 meters); for double-story structures, it is 6.5P+290mm (6.12 meters).
• Floor limit: Up to three floors can be stacked vertically to form a three-dimensional space, suitable for high-density residential or office scenarios.

III. Customized Specifications

Some manufacturers offer non-standard customized services, such as:

• Duplex container houses: Formed by splicing three 40-foot containers, creating a space of 11.8 meters (length) × 6.75 meters (width) × 2.8 meters (height), with a usable area of up to 80 square meters, including functional areas such as living rooms and bedrooms.
• Special sizes: Such as small containers measuring 3 meters (length) × 3 meters (width) × 2.8 meters (height), or two-story containers measuring 7 meters (length) × 3 meters (width) × 2.8 meters (height), which need to be designed and produced according to specific requirements.
