Beijing Multi-Story Container House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Beijing multi-story container houses generally adopt standard 20-foot or 40-foot container sizes, and can also be customized according to non-standard requirements. They can be stacked up to three stories vertically and have advantages such as environmental protection, energy efficiency, reusability, long lifespan, fire resistance, and earthquake resistance.

I. Size Specifications

  • Standard Sizes: The mainstream sizes of multi-story container houses are standard 20-foot or 40-foot container sizes. The external dimensions of a 20-foot standard container are 6058×2438×2591mm, and the internal dimensions are 5867×2330×2350mm; the external dimensions of a 40-foot standard container are 12192×2438×2591mm, and the internal dimensions are 11998×2330×2350mm. These sizes are suitable for single-person offices, dormitories, shops, as well as partitioned multi-functional spaces and multi-person dormitories.
  • Custom Non-Standard Sizes: In addition to standard sizes, multi-story container houses can also be customized according to non-standard requirements. The length, width, and height can be flexibly adjusted, such as 3m×6m, 3m×8m, 3m×12m, etc. The width options include 2.5m, 2.55m, 3m, 4m, etc., and the height options include 2.6m, 2.7m, 2.8m, 2.9m, etc. Special door and window positions, partitions, exteriors, and interior decorations can all be customized as needed.

II. Structural Features

  • Stacking Capability: Multi-story container houses have the ability to be stacked vertically, up to three stories. This is due to the use of standard components welded from special section steels, with containers connected by bolts, ensuring a stable and reliable structure.
  • Modular Design: Container houses adopt modular design and factory production, with the container body as the basic unit. They can be used individually or combined horizontally and vertically to form spacious living spaces.

III. Advantages

  • Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency: Container houses are reasonably designed and can be reused multiple times, with low wear and tear rates. They do not generate construction waste on site and do not pollute the environment.
  • Long Lifespan: Under normal conditions, the lifespan of container houses can reach 10-15 years or even longer.
  • Fire Resistance and Earthquake Resistance: Container houses use Class A fire-resistant materials that meet national inspection standards, providing good fire resistance. At the same time, their fully welded structure also gives them strong earthquake resistance.
