Beijing Mobile Smart Toilet Architecture

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

The Beijing Mobile Smart Toilet Architecture relies on IoT technology to form a fully closed-loop intelligent management system encompassing 'perception collection - transmission analysis - intelligent decision-making - automatic execution - operation and maintenance management,' achieving upgrades in humanized public toilet services, digitized operation and maintenance, and refined management.

The perception collection layer serves as the foundation of the architecture, achieving comprehensive data collection through multiple types of sensors. Non-contact sensing devices (infrared/microwave sensors) replace physical door locks, automatically triggering door opening and closing and uploading status data. Air composition analyzers monitor ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations, while particulate matter sensors monitor air quality indices, enabling real-time environmental monitoring. Presence sensing modules control lighting and water systems, automatically entering low-power mode when unoccupied to reduce energy consumption. Weight or optical sensors in tissue boxes and soap dispensers measure remaining consumable levels for timely replenishment. Floor moisture sensors and image recognition modules assess cleanliness, while door magnetic sensors and occupancy timers aggregate toilet stall occupancy status, providing data support for subsequent decision-making.

The transmission analysis layer is responsible for data transmission and processing. Various sensors act as terminal nodes, transmitting data via wireless networks to local or cloud servers. Management software within the servers conducts in-depth analysis and processing of the data, such as calculating cleaning time points and predicting consumable replenishment needs through algorithmic models. It also stores the data and generates control instructions based on rule libraries, such as automatically activating ventilation equipment and coordinating air purification systems to achieve intelligent environmental regulation.

The intelligent decision-making and automatic execution layer implements automated control based on data analysis results. In terms of environmental regulation, ventilation, purification, and lighting systems operate automatically according to preset thresholds to ensure a comfortable public toilet environment. In resource management, when consumable stock levels fall below safety thresholds, the system sends prompt messages to maintenance personnel's mobile terminals to ensure timely material replenishment. For cleaning operations, task work orders are generated based on usage frequency, environmental data, and historical records, shifting to an on-demand response model to improve cleaning efficiency. In user guidance, external display screens show toilet stall occupancy status through graphics or color blocks, aiding route selection and enhancing the user experience.

The operation and maintenance management layer achieves remote monitoring and preventive maintenance through the IoT architecture. Maintenance personnel can view equipment status in real-time, such as water and electricity consumption and sewage treatment progress. Fault warnings and material replenishment prompts replace traditional periodic inspection models, reducing operation and maintenance costs. The data supports refined governance needs such as optimizing urban public toilet layouts and allocating sanitation resources, driving urban public toilet management towards intelligence and scientific development.
