Barrel Refitted Mobile Toilet

Admin 24 de septiembre de 2026

There are mainly two methods for refitting barrels into mobile toilets:

Method 1: Building a mobile toilet using two chemical barrels First, prepare two large chemical barrels. After removing the top reinforcing bars, use a cutting machine to completely cut off the barrel lids. Invert and stack the two plastic barrels, and fix the upper and lower structures with an iron frame to ensure stability. Cut an opening the size of a door frame on the side, and also cut corresponding positions on the inner barrel to form a passage. Cover the gap between the two barrels with a rectangular iron sheet and fix it with screws to prevent water leakage. Drill holes in the corners of the barrels, install PVC pipes, and apply sealant. After trimming the excess parts, connect them to the toilet tank and water inlet pipe. The washbasin and showerhead need to be installed separately: make a showerhead bracket with PVC pipes and connect a three-way pipe to achieve water supply diversion. The door is designed with two wooden doors, installed with hinges and equipped with handles to ensure smooth opening and closing. Finally, connect the drainage outlet to the septic tank through a water pipe to complete the sewage discharge system.

Method 2: Building a mobile toilet using plastic barrels Select plastic barrels of an appropriate height and cut them at one-third of the barrel height. Install wheel devices at the bottom for easy movement. Nail wooden strips into the barrel to increase the height and cut two slits as the foundation for the door frame. Fix two synthetic wooden boards at the edges of the iron sheet to reinforce the door structure. Cover the top with the cut plastic barrel pieces, and the connection points of the iron sheet should overlap to protect privacy. Apply anti-corrosion paint on the surface of the wooden strips to extend their service life. Overlap and splice the remaining wooden floorboards for the door, fix them with screws, install hinges, and test the opening and closing. For the drainage system, drill holes in the barrel body and bottom, install water pipe connectors as shower water storage barrels, make a showerhead with PVC pipes, and connect them to the water pipes with strong adhesive. The main water pipe is connected to a three-way pipe to supply water to the washbasin, shower, and toilet respectively. After installing the toilet, fill the gaps at the bottom with epoxy resin glue for sealing.

Key precautions:

  1. Sealing: All cut edges should be polished smoothly, and the connection points of PVC pipes must be sealed with sealant to prevent leakage.
  2. Stability: The reinforced structures with iron frames or wooden strips should ensure load-bearing capacity to avoid tipping during use.
  3. Privacy protection: The door and top covering should completely block the view, and there should be no gaps at the overlapping points of the iron sheet.
  4. Ventilation design: It is recommended to drill small holes at the top or side walls and install exhaust fans to improve the internal air quality.
