Size of Container Houses in Baiyun District

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

The sizes of container houses in Baiyun District vary depending on their type and design, with common dimensions ranging from approximately 14.4 square meters to large specifications up to 13.58 meters in length. They can be categorized as follows:

1. Duplex Container Houses
These houses achieve spatial expansion by joining multiple containers, with a typical design involving the connection of three 40-foot containers, resulting in overall dimensions of 11.8 meters (length) × 6.75 meters (width) × 2.8 meters (height) and a usable area of 80 square meters. This structure is suitable for scenarios requiring large spaces, such as temporary office areas or multi-person living quarters, enhancing living comfort through vertical space utilization.

2. Standard Residential Container Houses
The most common specification is 3 meters (width) × 6 meters (length) × 2.8 meters (height), with an internal area of approximately 18 square meters, meeting basic living needs. Additionally, there is a variant measuring 2.4 meters in width and 6 meters in length, with an area of about 14.4 square meters, and the height may be adjusted to 2.6 meters to suit different scenarios. These houses are widely used in construction site dormitories and temporary shops due to their flexible dimensions and lower cost.

3. Other Common Container Sizes

  • 20-foot Container: Internal dimensions are 5.69 meters (length) × 2.13 meters (width) × 2.18 meters (height), with a relatively small volume suitable for storage or single-person living.
  • 40-foot Container: Internal dimensions are 11.8 meters (length) × 2.13 meters (width) × 2.18 meters (height), with twice the space of a 20-foot container, suitable for small offices or warehouses.
  • 40-foot High Cube Container: The height is increased to 2.72 meters, with internal dimensions of 11.8 meters (length) × 2.13 meters (width), suitable for scenarios requiring higher vertical space, such as equipment storage.
  • 45-foot High Cube Container: Internal dimensions are 13.58 meters (length) × 2.34 meters (width) × 2.71 meters (height), the largest among conventional containers, commonly used for large-scale logistics or special modification projects.
  • Refrigerated Container: Designed for transporting goods requiring low-temperature preservation, with various internal dimensions, such as 5.425 meters (length) × 2.275 meters (width) × 2.260 meters (height), and a temperature control range typically from -25°C to +25°C.

Selection Advice: For large spaces, duplex or 45-foot high cube containers are preferred; standard residential container houses are suitable for cost-control scenarios; 20/40-foot containers offer greater flexibility and can be combined according to needs. Refrigerated containers should be configured separately based on the type of goods.
