Assembly Prefabricated House Decoration

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

Assembly prefabricated house decoration, also known as prefabricated decoration, involves pre-fabricating components such as walls and floors in a factory and then modularly installing them on-site as an interior decoration method.

I. Core Characteristics Prefabricated decoration is based on industrially produced components and parts, which are combined and installed on-site using dry construction methods. It adheres to the principle of separating pipelines from the structure, achieving separation between the building structure and the decoration system. For example, the floor system employs elevated support technology with a bearing capacity of up to 200kg/m². Integrated kitchens and whole bathrooms are also part of its technical systems.

II. Significant Advantages

  1. Reduced Construction Time: The construction period is shortened by 30%-50% compared to traditional decoration. Traditional decoration of ordinary residences may take two to three months or even longer, while prefabricated decoration can generally be completed in a few weeks. For instance, the renovation project in Xicheng District, Beijing, adopted BIM full-process assembly technology and completed delivery in 25 days; the renovation project in Guanzhuang Dongli, Chaoyang District, Beijing, used steel structure prefabricated roof technology, reducing the construction period from two months to 20 days.
  2. Enhanced Environmental Protection: On-site wet operations and processing are significantly reduced. Modules are cut and polished in the factory, requiring only simple installation and fixation on-site, which keeps dust and noise at low levels and reduces construction waste by over 80%. Materials undergo environmental treatment in the factory, and modular installation reduces the use of adhesives, resulting in lower emissions of harmful substances. Ventilation for one to two months is generally sufficient to meet occupancy standards.
  3. Policy Support: On December 31, 2025, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the Opinions on Improving Housing Quality, proposing the promotion of prefabricated decoration. In 2026, Nanhai District and Xi'an City, among others, successively listed it as a key direction for the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry. On September 8, 2026, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a draft for comments, specifying that by 2030, the application ratio of prefabricated decoration will significantly increase, and a complete system of standards, technologies, industries, supervision, and talent will be formed.

III. Limitations The stylistic flexibility of prefabricated decoration may not be as high as that of traditional decoration, making it difficult to meet some personalized needs. Homeowners should comprehensively consider factors such as move-in time, environmental requirements, budget, and style preferences when making their choice.
