American Prefabricated House Processing Factory

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

Among American prefabricated house processing factories, Clayton Homes and China Construction Steel Structure Jiangsu Co., Ltd. (involved in North American business) are typical representatives.

Clayton Homes is a leading enterprise in the American prefabricated housing sector. Founded by Jim Clayton in Maryville, Tennessee, USA in 1956, its current President and CEO is Kevin Clayton. The company adopts a vertically integrated model, with businesses covering house manufacturing, retail sales, and financing services. Its subsidiary, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, provides home loans, and House First Insurance offers insurance, forming a complete industrial chain. Its prefabricated houses range in area from 46 to 220 square meters, with prices between $40,000 and $100,000. According to sales data, in 2017, the company sold 19,168 units through retail and 26,706 units through wholesale, indicating a substantial scale. In 2023, the company's revenue reached $11.4 billion, with a loan balance of approximately $23.8 billion, demonstrating strong market competitiveness. At the 2026 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting Exhibition, Clayton Homes showcased full-scale prefabricated house models, with a 2-bedroom model priced at $199,999 and a 3-bedroom model at $209,500, allowing consumers to have a more intuitive understanding of its products.

Although the parent company of China Construction Steel Structure Jiangsu Co., Ltd. is a Chinese enterprise, its full range of modular houses secured the first North American order. These prefabricated 'building block houses' were transported across the ocean in containers in the form of four independent modules and directly assembled on-site at the North American project location, delivering finished residential products that meet local standards. The model houses at its modular building production base feature well-organized kitchen and bathroom layouts and exquisitely decorated living rooms, meeting the standards of finished residential products on the market. The factory disassembles the entire building into several independent space units, completing over 80% of the processes, including the main structure, interior finishing, and mechanical and electrical piping layout, in the workshop. After the houses arrive at the designated location, only a small amount of work, such as module assembly and water and electricity connection, is required before they can be put into use, virtually eliminating the need for additional large-scale construction and greatly improving construction efficiency. Moreover, its parent company, China Construction Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd., has previously obtained the CSA W47.1 Welding Enterprise Certification, the CSA A660 Steel Structure Building System Manufacturer Certification, and has recently successfully obtained the CSA A277 Modular Product Certification, becoming the first enterprise in China to collect all three core Canadian building standards, providing strong guarantees for its products to enter the North American market.
