Zichang County Mobile Toilets

Admin September 29, 2026

Zichang County (now Zichang City) has established a comprehensive system covering equipment procurement, intelligent management, spatial optimization, and localized production in the field of mobile toilets, centered around policy promotion, planning upgrades, and industrial adaptation.

I. Policy-Driven Equipment Procurement and Intelligent Management

The Zichang City Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau has advanced the 'Toilet Revolution' through public bidding, focusing on procuring two types of equipment: First, fecal suction trucks and manual fecal suction pumps, with a winning bid amount of 1.1999 million yuan, provided by Yanchuan Lifengbao Industrial and Trading Co., Ltd., primarily for the harmless treatment and transportation of fecal matter from rural toilets; Second, intelligent management and maintenance platform software systems and related hardware, with a budget of 1.088 million yuan, procured through competitive negotiation, aiming to achieve real-time monitoring and efficient scheduling of toilet operations and maintenance through digital means. These two procurement projects demonstrate that Zichang City emphasizes both the upgrading of hardware facilities and the enhancement of intelligent management capabilities in mobile toilet management, forming a dual-wheel drive model of 'equipment + system'.

II. Public Toilet Planning Optimization in Urban Renewal

To address the issues of outdated and unevenly distributed public toilets in urban areas, Zichang City has taken the opportunity of organic urban renewal to incorporate public toilets into the overall renewal scope and replan their layout. This initiative not only involves the renovation of traditional fixed public toilets but also provides a spatial basis for the supplementary layout of mobile toilets. For example, in densely populated areas or temporary event venues, mobile toilets can serve as supplements to fixed public toilets, enabling rapid deployment through modular design to alleviate toilet pressure. Meanwhile, their mobility facilitates dynamic adjustment of positions according to urban development needs.

III. Industrial Adaptation and Localized Production of Mobile Toilets in the Yan'an Region

As a region densely populated with cultural and tourism resources, mobile toilets in Yan'an have upgraded from temporary facilities to essential supporting facilities. The industry exhibits a 'bifurcated' characteristic, and Zichang City should prioritize selecting direct-sales factories with source production capabilities and familiarity with the local geography and climate for procurement. Given the significant temperature variations between day and night and severe winters in Yan'an, mobile toilets should adopt steel structure frames paired with metal carved panels or galvanized sheets, with a focus on examining frame welding processes, paint surface weather resistance, and internal sewage pipeline design. For instance, Xi'an San'ao Metal Products Co., Ltd. has mature cases in Yan'an. Its products adopt prefabricated structures, supporting rapid disassembly, assembly, and relocation for reuse. Moreover, its environmentally friendly sewage systems comply with local standards, offering a full range of solutions from standard sizes to non-standard customizations, effectively reducing later-stage operation and maintenance costs.

Through policy guidance, planning optimization, and industrial adaptation, Zichang City has constructed a complete chain for mobile toilets from procurement and management to spatial layout, meeting the toilet needs of residents and tourists while providing replicable solutions for similar regions.
