Zhenhai Refinery Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

Container houses used in Zhenhai Refinery-related scenarios are mainly for temporary housing and supporting auxiliary housing, featuring modularity and rapid assembly, but strict attention must be paid to fire safety and material selection.

Application of Container Houses in Zhenhai Refinery Projects

As a super-large oil refining and chemical enterprise, Zhenhai Refinery has adopted container houses as supporting auxiliary housing in its project construction. For example, in the waste-free and odor-free construction project at the Zhenhai base, container houses were used as supporting facilities for the incinerator renovation, demonstrating their temporary and functional applications in industrial scenarios. Such houses are usually prefabricated by professional manufacturers and rapidly assembled through modular design to meet tight project deadlines.

Types and Characteristics of Container Houses

According to the manufacturing process and product types, the container houses that may be used by Zhenhai Refinery mainly include two categories:

  1. Packing-box container houses: These houses feature a framework of hot-dip galvanized cold-formed steel sections and are paired with fire-resistant polyurethane sandwich panels, providing thermal insulation and fire resistance. Such houses can be used independently or stacked in multiple layers, suitable for scenarios such as construction site dormitories and office areas.
  2. Functional supporting housing: These houses are adjusted in size and internal layout according to actual needs, such as security booths and property booths, to meet specific functional requirements.

The Criticality of Fire Safety and Material Selection

Although container houses are convenient, they pose fire hazards and require special attention:

  • Material fire resistance: Some low-priced houses use flammable sandwich materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam, which burn rapidly and are highly toxic in fires. If Zhenhai Refinery projects adopt container houses, priority should be given to A-grade fire-resistant materials such as rock wool boards and fire-resistant cotton to ensure compliance with industrial safety standards.
  • Safety distance and heat source management: Houses should be kept at least 6 meters apart to avoid fire sources and heat sources being adjacent to the houses. Electrical wires and cables should be protected with sleeves, and simple fire-fighting equipment should be provided.

Efficiency Advantages in Practical Applications

In emergency scenarios such as epidemic prevention and control in Zhenhai, container houses were used to build 200 isolation cabins within 72 hours, demonstrating their rapid deployment and flexible resource scheduling capabilities. Such applications usually rely on standardized production lines, shortening construction periods through prefabricated components, reducing on-site wet operations, and being suitable for temporary and high-efficiency requirements.
