Zhejiang Rural Mobile Toilet Renovation

Admin October 02, 2026

Zhejiang's rural areas have implemented a series of effective measures for mobile toilet renovation to improve rural sanitation conditions and public toilet management service levels.

Firstly, to address the inconvenience faced by the public during the renovation of dry toilets, rural areas in Zhejiang have adopted a temporary solution of renting mobile toilets. For example, in Baimashan Village, Qianqing Town, Keqiao District, since the new toilets had not yet been built during the dry toilet renovation period, the village promptly rented mobile toilets to meet the living needs of the public. These mobile toilets not only provided convenience for the public but also had their bottoms connected to the sewage pipe network, ensuring sanitary conditions and effectively preventing sewage overflow and environmental pollution.

Secondly, to encourage and support villages to rent mobile toilets during the dry toilet renovation period, the Qianqing Town government has also formulated a subsidy policy. According to this policy, appropriate subsidies are provided to villages that rent mobile toilets during the dry toilet renovation period, with a one-time subsidy of 1,000 yuan per mobile toilet. This policy not only reduces the financial burden on villages but also increases their enthusiasm for renting mobile toilets, thereby accelerating the progress of dry toilet renovation.

In addition, rural areas in Zhejiang have also focused on improving public toilet management service levels during the mobile toilet renovation process. By optimizing functional layouts, public toilets are made more in line with the usage habits of the public; promoting the establishment of third toilets to provide more convenient toilet conditions for special groups; improving elderly-friendly supporting services to meet the special needs of the elderly; and deepening digital and intelligent management to improve public toilet management efficiency and service quality using modern technological means. The implementation of these targeted measures has led to a comprehensive improvement in the public toilet management service levels in rural areas of Zhejiang.

In summary, rural areas in Zhejiang have taken multiple effective measures for mobile toilet renovation, including renting mobile toilets, formulating subsidy policies, and improving public toilet management service levels. The implementation of these measures has not only improved rural sanitation conditions but also enhanced the quality of life for the public.
