Zhaotong Container House Installation
Admin September 13, 2026
Zhaotong container house installation should follow these steps and precautions:

I. Site Survey and Planning
- Ground conditions: Before installation, confirm the site is level. Prefer hardened surfaces (such as concrete floors or gravel bedding) to avoid long-term settlement of the container. In some mountainous areas of Yunnan, foundations should be prepared in advance; when necessary, pour a concrete base or use support legs for securing.
- Climate adaptability: Zhaotong has frequent rainy seasons, so drainage slopes should be reserved. Mountainous areas are often foggy; lifting operations require wind speed at or below Beaufort force 6 to ensure safety.
II. Materials and Tools Preparation
- Main materials: The container house structure, doors and windows, plumbing and electrical fittings, fixing screws, and related parts should be prepared in advance.
- Protective materials: Yunnan's rainy season is frequent; it is recommended to prepare waterproof covers to prevent moisture during transport or installation.
- Equipment and tools: Forklifts or cranes are needed for lifting, a spirit level for calibrating flatness, and electric drills and other tools for fixing work.
III. Standard Installation Process
- Positioning and lifting: Use professional equipment to lift the container steadily and place it precisely at the predetermined location, taking care to avoid underground pipelines or obstacles.
- Securing and leveling: Fix the container with bottom bolts or support legs, and calibrate flatness with a spirit level. When joining multiple units, reserve expansion joints (about 1-2 cm) to prevent deformation caused by temperature differences.
- Interior finishing: Plumbing and electrical lines: Plan routes in advance to avoid later openings that damage the structure. Mountain humidity is high; moisture-proof treatment of lines is recommended. Door and window sealing: After installation, check seal integrity; use waterproof strips or sealant to fill gaps and prevent rainwater leakage.
IV. Special Climate Countermeasures
- Moisture and pest control: Apply anti-mold paint on interior walls and lay a moisture barrier membrane at the bottom to reduce moisture intrusion. In mountainous areas, regularly inspect for termite damage and carry out pest control when necessary (such as spraying agents or using anti-termite boards).
- Seismic and wind resistance: Some areas of Zhaotong lie in seismic zones; strengthen connections between the container and the foundation (for example, by increasing the number of anchor bolts). Wind-resistant design should reference local wind pressure standards (such as Kunming basic wind pressure of 0.35 kN/m²); highland or wind-gap areas need structural reinforcement.
V. Compliance Requirements
Before installation, confirm that the building complies with Zhaotong Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development temporary building regulations to avoid unauthorized construction. Local service providers (such as Yunnan Meijie Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd.) may be consulted to assist with related procedures.
