Zhangzhou Retro Container House
There is an application of retro-style container houses in Zhangzhou, mainly used in commercial scenarios and integrated housing manufacturing fields. The following analysis is carried out from two dimensions: commercial renovation and professional manufacturing enterprises.
Retro container houses in commercial scenarios are mainly modular renovations, emphasizing visual design and functional integration. The container street markets around Zhangzhou Wankeli and Tianhong Mall are typical examples. They use container units of various colors to拼接 (assemble) into commercial shops, with each unit covering an area of about 20 square meters. Design elements such as bread-shaped roofs and new Chinese-style eaves are created using fiberglass materials, forming a retro style that combines both recognizability and cultural themes. Such renovations focus on space utilization and creative expression. As prefabricated modules, containers can be quickly assembled, and through exterior decoration and interior renovation, they achieve the concept of 'reusing old things in new ways', retaining an industrial appearance while meeting commercial operation needs.
Professional manufacturing enterprises provide customized production services for retro-style container houses. Fujian Dongli Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. has container manufacturing and metal structure processing capabilities and holds patents such as 'a convenient-to-assemble portable packing box'. Its products are used in fields such as tourist hotels and temporary housing for commercial activities, and can be designed with retro exteriors and interior layouts according to customer needs. Zhangzhou Gelemei New Home Container Co., Ltd. is also engaged in container manufacturing and leasing business, with its service scope covering integrated housing fields such as mobile homes and sentry boxes. It can provide full-process support from design to construction to meet the customized needs of retro-style container houses.
The second-hand container market provides low-cost material sources for retro-style renovations. There are several second-hand container suppliers in Zhangzhou, such as Zhangzhou Falilai Integrated Housing and Fujian Jihai Second-hand Containers, which provide second-hand resources such as residential containers and cargo containers. Some products can be used for retro-style renovations after simple refurbishment. In addition, although non-local enterprises such as Guangzhou Qizhong Container Service Co., Ltd. do not have their shipping locations in Zhangzhou, their second-hand products such as refrigerated containers and dry cargo containers can be transported to the local area by logistics, further enriching material choices.
