Zhangping Prefabricated Houses
Zhangping City has not carried out a 'comprehensive demolition' of prefabricated panel houses but has adopted a 'classified governance' approach, which means demolishing what should be demolished, renovating what can be renovated, and repairing what can be repaired.

According to policy documents and related reports, the prefabricated panel houses in Zhangping City that will be prioritized for demolition mainly fall into the following categories:
First, prefabricated panel houses identified as D-grade dangerous housing by professional institutions. D-grade dangerous housing indicates that the building structure has been severely damaged and cannot meet safety requirements for use, posing significant safety hazards. For such houses, Zhangping City will prioritize demolition in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies to safeguard the lives and property of residents.
Second, old houses with long service lives, poor structural integrity, and severe neglect in maintenance and upkeep. These houses, built many years ago, have aging structural materials and, due to a lack of long-term maintenance and care, exhibit poor structural integrity and risks of collapse. To eliminate these safety hazards, Zhangping City will also give priority consideration to demolishing such prefabricated panel houses.
Third, prefabricated panel houses that affect urban planning and require land acquisition. With the development and adjustment of urban planning, some prefabricated panel houses may be located on land that needs to be acquired or their presence may affect the overall layout and image of the city. For such houses, Zhangping City will carry out demolition or relocation in accordance with urban planning needs.
It is noteworthy that when demolishing prefabricated panel houses, Zhangping City will adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and policy requirements to ensure the legality and rationality of the demolition work. At the same time, for houses that need to be demolished, Zhangping City will actively arrange for the resettlement of residents to safeguard their basic living needs.
