Mobile Toilets in Yuzhong District Parks

Admin October 02, 2026

The following is an overview of mobile toilets in Yuzhong District parks:

I. 2025 Mobile Toilet Project for Old Residential Areas

Yuzhong District plans to demolish and replace five existing mobile toilets, covering areas such as Zhongshan Second Road, Emergency Medical Center, Eling Bus Station, Caiyuanba Mobile Toilet (1), and Caiyuanba Mobile Toilet (2). The renovation includes equipping standardized toilet stalls, sinks, management rooms, and tool rooms. The estimated investment for the project is 1.3026 million yuan, with a construction period of three months. This initiative aims to improve the sanitary conditions and service capabilities of public toilets in old residential areas to meet the daily needs of residents.

II. Toilet Upgrades Around Daijia Lane

Due to terrain constraints and opposition from residents to expansion, the toilet in Daijia Lane can only be renovated in its original location, resulting in limited space. To alleviate the pressure on tourists for toilet facilities, Yuzhong District has upgraded the nearby Urban Plaza (Dashijie Toilet) and Guotai Plaza (Guotai Mobile Toilet):

  • Guotai Mobile Toilet: The number of squatting stalls has been increased to four, and a smart display screen has been added to show real-time availability, weather information, and toilet usage.
  • Dashijie Toilet: The number of squatting stalls has been increased to six, also equipped with a smart display system. After the renovation, the intelligence level of both toilets has been significantly improved, effectively diverting tourist traffic and enhancing the user experience.

III. Flexible Mobile Toilet Services Along the Yuzhong Riverside

Yuzhong District has introduced a "wave-to-stop mobile toilet" service along the riverside area, using mobile toilet vehicles to dynamically cover areas with high tourist density and address the insufficient coverage of traditional fixed public toilets. These toilets are typically equipped with basic sanitary facilities and managed by dedicated personnel to ensure cleanliness and maintenance, reflecting the human-centered design of public services.

IV. Exploration of Vehicle-Mounted Mobile Toilets

Although the vehicle-mounted mobile toilet spotted by netizens was in Yubei District, this model holds reference value for the main urban area of Chongqing. Vehicle-mounted toilets, carried by vehicles and integrating toilet stalls and sewage treatment functions, can be quickly deployed to temporary demand points such as parks and scenic spots. They offer advantages such as strong mobility and short construction periods and may become a supplementary form of the mobile toilet system in Yuzhong District in the future.

Summary: Through the renovation of old public toilets, upgrades in key areas, flexible riverside services, and the exploration of vehicle-mounted models, Yuzhong District has constructed a multi-tiered mobile toilet network that caters to both the daily needs of residents and peak tourist periods, reflecting the trend of refinement and intelligence in urban public service facilities.
