Yushu Prefecture Mobile Toilet Installation
Admin October 11, 2026
The installation of mobile toilets in Yushu Prefecture must follow standardized procedures to ensure safety, hygiene, and functional compliance. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Preliminary Preparation
- Site Selection: The installation location must meet requirements for flatness and ventilation, and be kept away from water source pollution areas (such as rivers and drinking water wells) to prevent secondary environmental pollution.
- Site Clearance: Remove obstacles such as debris and stones from the site to ensure the ground is free of sharp objects or unevenness, providing a stable foundation for subsequent fixation.
- Equipment Inspection: Check the equipment parts list to confirm that components such as the main frame, toilet bowl, fecal storage tank, connectors, and sealing strips are complete, avoiding installation interruptions due to missing parts.
II. Foundation Fixation
- Main Body Positioning: Place the main body of the mobile toilet at the designated location and adjust its orientation so that doors, windows, and drainage outlets face appropriately.
- Bottom Fixation: Choose a fixation method based on ground conditions:
- Hard Ground: Use expansion screws to penetrate the fixing holes at the bottom of the main body and tighten the nuts to ensure stability;
- Soft Ground: Use counterweights (such as concrete blocks) placed around the bottom of the main body to prevent displacement caused by wind or usage vibrations.
III. Installation of Core Components
- Toilet Bowl and Drainage System:
- Install the toilet bowl, ensuring a tight connection with the main frame;
- Connect the drainage outlet to the fecal storage tank, using a dedicated sealing ring or applying silicone to the interface to prevent fecal leakage or odor escape.
- Water Supply/Drainage System:
- Flush Toilets: Connect the water inlet pipe to the water tank and install a water valve to control water flow; the drainage pipe must be connected to the municipal sewer network or a dedicated septic tank, with a slope of no less than 2% to ensure smooth drainage;
- Dry Toilets: Fix the position of the fecal storage tank, reserve a cleaning port and seal it with a lid to prevent rainwater backflow.
IV. Assembly of Auxiliary Facilities
- Door and Window Adjustment: Install doors and windows and test their opening and closing flexibility to ensure no gaps when closed, preventing mosquito entry or odor diffusion.
- Accessory Installation: Install handrails, hooks, tissue boxes, etc., according to needs to enhance usability; lay anti-slip mats on the floor to reduce the risk of slipping.
- Circuit Connection: Connect electrical circuits for lighting and exhaust fans, using waterproof junction boxes to protect connectors; test power supply to ensure normal operation and safety during nighttime or enclosed space use.
V. Sealing and Debugging
- Sealing Treatment: Check gaps between the main body and the ground, as well as connections between components, and seal them with silicone strips or sealant, focusing on easily leaking areas such as drainage outlets and door/window edges.
- Functional Testing:
- Flush Test: Flush multiple times to observe water flow smoothness and check for drainage outlet blockages;
- Leak Test: Fill the water tank and let it stand for 30 minutes to observe for leaks in the fecal storage tank and connections;
- Odor Control: Place deodorizers or activated carbon packs to ensure fresh internal air.
VI. Safety Inspection and Acceptance
- Structural Stability: Shake the main body to check for loose components and confirm that expansion screws or counterweights are securely fixed.
- Signage Setup: Post emergency contact numbers and usage instructions on the exterior of the toilet for maintenance and emergency response.
- Cleaning and Organization: Clean up garbage generated during installation, place toilet paper, trash bins, etc., and complete final acceptance.
Notes: If the ground is uneven or the soil is soft, harden it in advance (e.g., pour concrete) or lay steel plates; connecting to the municipal sewer network requires coordination with relevant departments for approval, extending the installation period; the installation process must comply with the Mobile Toilet Hygiene Standards (GB/T 21239-2023) to ensure hygiene and safety compliance.
