Yunyang Modular Container House
Yunyang modular container house is a building form that disassembles a complete house into standardized modules, completes the construction process in a factory, and then transports it to the site for rapid assembly.

I. Construction Mode and Characteristics
Modular construction is a more integrated mode within prefabricated buildings. It divides an entire building into independent housing modules and completes all processes, including the main structure, water and electricity pipelines, bathroom waterproofing, sanitary equipment, cabinets, and wardrobes, inside the factory. These modules are then transported to the project site and assembled like building blocks. Unlike traditional construction, which proceeds in a series, modular construction adopts a parallel operation mode, with multiple processes advancing simultaneously, completely transforming the traditional construction site's operational form. For example, in a structural modular smart factory in Guangdong, a fully automated production line over 400 meters long operates continuously. Welding, assembly, and grinding robots work in tandem, while AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) shuttle back and forth in the workshop. A house is disassembled into six components: the bottom, top, and four sides, which are produced simultaneously on multiple sub-production lines. Finally, they are assembled into a complete box at the end of the production line. The factory can produce up to 50 modules per day, with a capacity ten times that of similar factories in North America, and manufacturing precision is stably controlled between 1 and 2 millimeters.
II. Application Scenarios
- Infrastructure Projects: It can serve as temporary dormitories, office spaces, and project camps on construction sites, meeting characteristics such as 48-hour rapid assembly, relocatability, low cost, and durability, making it suitable for rapid construction and cross-project reuse scenarios.
- Emergency Support: Used for temporary shelters, emergency medical stations, on-site command centers, etc., it enables rapid deployment and grounding without foundations, adapting to complex terrains.
- Commercial Operations: As mobile shops or sales kiosks, it meets demands for low cost, mobility, personalized customization, and quick opening.
- Cultural and Tourism Projects: It can create popular homestays and vacation accommodations, featuring high aesthetics, light asset investment, rapid delivery, and strong terrain adaptability.
- Personal Rural Use: It can function as garages, storage rooms, or small ancillary buildings, offering characteristics such as exemption from civil construction, mobility, easy maintenance, and low cost.
