How to Design Mobile Toilets in Yunnan

Admin October 08, 2026

The design of mobile toilets in Yunnan needs to comprehensively consider flexibility, practicality, and environmental adaptability, and can be carried out from the following aspects:

1. Structural Framework and Box Design The main body of the mobile toilet adopts lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant materials such as fiberglass, aluminum alloy, or stainless steel, ensuring structural stability while reducing weight for easy transportation and installation. The box design should take into account thermal insulation, heat insulation, and waterproofing. For example, anti-freezing layers can be added in cold regions to prevent pipeline freezing; anti-corrosion coatings can be applied on the surface to extend service life. Modular design is the core. Through standardized units such as walls, roofs, and underframes, combined with locking and waterproof connection techniques, rapid disassembly, assembly, and reorganization can be achieved to meet the needs of different sites without relying on fixed underground pipelines.

2. Sanitary Ware System Design Sanitary ware should be made of durable and easy-to-clean materials such as engineering plastics or stainless steel. Squat toilets and sit toilets should be configured according to the usage scenario. For example, squat toilets can be preferred in tourist attractions to conform to hygiene habits; washbasins should be equipped with water-saving faucets to reduce water consumption. Accessories such as mirrors and tissue boxes should be firmly fixed to avoid damage during transportation.

3. Flushing and Sewage Storage System Design Choose the appropriate type according to the usage scenario:

  • Packing Type: Excrement is sealed in sewage storage bags/buckets through mechanical devices or degradable materials and is regularly cleaned by dedicated personnel, suitable for areas without water sources or with high environmental protection requirements.
  • Water-flushing Type: Equipped with a small water tank and a fecal storage tank, after flushing, the waste is temporarily stored in the tank and is cleaned by a suction vehicle when full, requiring regular water replenishment.
  • Biodegradable Type: Microorganisms are added to decompose excrement into carbon dioxide, water, and a small amount of residue, reducing pollution and suitable for long-term usage scenarios.
  • Vacuum Environmental Protection Type: Using vacuum suction technology, a very small amount of water is used to suction the waste into a collection tank, saving water and having a low odor, suitable for high-traffic areas.

4. Ventilation and Deodorization System Design The forced exhaust system continuously exchanges air through ceiling or sidewall exhaust fans to reduce the odor concentration inside the toilet; chemical deodorants (such as chlorine-containing disinfectants) or biological deodorants (such as probiotic sprays) can further decompose odor molecules; physical deodorization devices (such as activated carbon filter layers) can adsorb residual odors to ensure fresh air.

5. Energy and Water Supply Design The energy supply is mainly solar energy. Solar panels are installed on the top to power lighting and ventilation equipment, reducing dependence on the municipal power grid; water supply relies on built-in water storage tanks, which are replenished from external water sources through water pumps. In cold regions, heating tapes need to be installed in the pipelines to prevent freezing. Some models are equipped with low-voltage direct-current drainage valves to reduce energy consumption.

6. Treatment System Design The solid-liquid separation device directs the waste into a fermentation tank, where microorganisms are used to reduce the volume through decomposition; the liquid part can be used for non-potable purposes such as greening irrigation after filtration or further purified for discharge. The sewage discharge system supports two modes: connecting to a temporary sewage storage tank or docking with a pre-treatment septic tank on the site, both of which can be switched through quick connectors without on-site civil engineering modifications, improving flexibility.
