Yunfu City has outlined its development path through the 'Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Prefabricated Building Industry in Yunfu City'. By the end of 2026, the proportion of prefabricated buildings in newly constructed building areas across the city will be no less than 30% (no less than 32% in Yun'an District and Yunan County), with at least two large enterprises introduced. By 2030, this proportion will increase to 50%, with no fewer than five production bases established, aiming to create a demonstration base for prefabricated building supply in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The policy constructs a long-term development framework from three aspects: industrial scale, enterprise introduction, and base construction.

Yunfu possesses the capability for localized supply of core raw materials for prefabricated components: with 44.3 billion tons of building stone reserves, an annual mining volume of 170 million tons of sand and gravel aggregates (ranking first in the province), and sufficient production capacity for cement, ceramics, and green steel, it enables 'local conversion' of raw materials, significantly reducing procurement and transportation costs. Meanwhile, as one of the three major stone industry bases in China, Yunfu has a development history of over 400 years, forming a complete industrial chain from mine exploitation to after-sales service, with 355 above-scale building material enterprises and green factories ranging from national to municipal levels, providing technical support and配套 services (supporting services) for the production of prefabricated components.
Strong Logistics and Cost Competitiveness
The 'Golden Waterway' of the Xijiang River supports year-round navigation for 3,000-ton vessels, with an annual port service capacity of 150 million tons, reducing water transportation costs by over 60% compared to road transportation. The accelerated construction of transportation infrastructure such as the Foshan-Zhaoqing-Yunfu Expressway and the Shenzhen-Nanning High-Speed Railway further facilitates transportation channels in the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, Yunfu achieves a comprehensive utilization rate of 99.6% for stone waste, with significant price advantages for main materials such as cement and sand and gravel, and the lowest industrial electricity price in the province, forming significant competitiveness for the prefabricated component industry sensitive to transportation costs.

Yunfu has nurtured numerous prefabricated component manufacturers, with products covering over 20 categories such as composite slabs, prefabricated stairs, shear walls, and pipe gallery components, serving all districts and counties across the city. In the past three years, the newly commenced construction area of prefabricated buildings has exceeded 1.76 million square meters. The Huanggang Middle School Xinxing Campus project has been selected as a national model by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, while demonstration projects such as the Guangdong Yunfu Traditional Chinese Medicine College project have verified the technical feasibility, providing practical samples for industrial promotion.
