Yumen Container House

Admin September 10, 2026

Yumen container house installation must follow a scientific process covering preparation, foundation treatment, assembly, interior finishing, and safety precautions, as follows:

1. Installation Preparation

  • Material inventory: Based on design drawings and site conditions, accurately calculate requirements for steel, timber, insulation materials, and more, to avoid shortages that delay progress.
  • Personnel allocation: Professional assemblers and movers must work together, ensuring the team masters installation skills such as container connection and support installation standards.
  • Equipment preparation: Use cranes, carts, and other machinery to assist with handling and lifting, improving efficiency and reducing manual labor intensity.

2. Foundation Treatment

  • Foundation type selection: Prefer non-soil foundations such as concrete or asphalt to avoid settlement that could tilt the house or damage the structure.
  • Leveling: Fill and excavate the foundation surface per design requirements, and compact to ensure flatness, providing a stable base for subsequent installation.
  • Waterproof isolation layer: Lay breathable membranes and similar materials to form a moisture barrier, preventing groundwater vapor from eroding the container bottom and extending service life.

3. Assembling Containers

  • Bottom leveling and connection: Ensure each container bottom is level; firmly connect adjacent containers with steel plates to form an integrated structure.
  • Core axis alignment: Verify container core axes against drawing requirements, measure deviations, and adjust within allowable tolerances to ensure verticality and stability.
  • Support installation: Install supports at key positions—corner posts, beams, and the like—to enhance wind and seismic resistance.
  • Safety measures: Install safety bracing, protective nets, and guard panels to prevent falling objects or personnel falls and ensure construction safety.

4. Interior Space Treatment

  • Moisture protection: Apply moisture-proof paint or lay moisture-proof film on interior walls to reduce damage from steel condensation.
  • Layout optimization: Plan functional zones by use needs—bedrooms, kitchens, and more—using partitions or furniture to improve space utilization.
  • Ventilation: Install exhaust fans or fresh-air systems to improve air circulation in compact spaces and avoid stuffiness or odor buildup.

5. Installation Notes

  • Ground firmness: Before installation, confirm the ground is free of soft spots and depressions to prevent displacement or deformation from an unstable foundation.
  • Environmental adaptation: Yumen has strong wind and sand; strengthen container sealing and add external wind-anchoring devices.
