Yinchuan Sanitation Bureau Mobile Toilet
The mobile toilet project established by the Yinchuan Sanitation Bureau (now under the relevant functions of the Xixia District Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau) in the Pingfang District of Xingying Team 8 was officially opened for operation on August 15, 2025, after passing the acceptance inspection. The project adopts a prefabricated composite steel structure and features intelligent, modular, and drought-climate-adapted characteristics.

Project Overview
This mobile toilet is one of the practical projects for the people carried out by the Xixia District Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau of Yinchuan City (formerly under the relevant functions of the Sanitation Bureau) in 2025. It is located in the Pingfang District of Xingying Team 8. The project completed site selection in March 2025, design and budget preparation in April, released a tender notice on June 20, commenced construction on July 9, was completed on August 12, and passed acceptance and was put into use on August 15.
Structural and Functional Design
The main body of the toilet adopts a composite steel structure with a building area of 28 square meters. It is designed for multiple relocations within a 15-year lifespan, demonstrating the flexibility and reusability of prefabricated buildings. The internal functional areas are clearly divided:
- 6 unisex squat toilets: Meeting basic usage needs while considering space utilization efficiency; - Intelligent control room: Integrating a whole-house intelligent system for automated management;
- Management room: For daily maintenance by staff.
Intelligent and Modular Systems
The entire building adopts an intelligent control system covering modules such as water supply, sewage disposal, and energy:
- Water supply: Connected to tap water to ensure a stable supply;
- Sewage disposal: Connected to a septic tank, meeting environmental protection requirements;
- Heating: Using electric floor heating to adapt to the low-temperature environment in Yinchuan during winter;
- Modular integration: The internal water-saving, sewage disposal, and energy systems are designed in a modular fashion for easy maintenance and upgrades. Especially under climate conditions of drought, large temperature differences, and frequent sandstorms, resource recycling technologies (such as water-saving devices) are used to reduce operation and maintenance costs.
Adaptability and Operation and Maintenance Management
The design and material selection of the Yinchuan mobile toilet fully consider local natural conditions:
- Climate adaptability: The structural materials are resistant to sandstorms and temperature variations, and the internal systems maintain basic sanitation functions under resource constraints;
- Data-driven operation and maintenance: Adjusting the distribution and quantity of toilets through real-time monitoring, standardizing cleaning and maintenance processes, and improving management efficiency;
- Technological evolution direction: Focusing on resource recycling (such as reclaimed water reuse) and intelligent management (such as remote monitoring), reserving space for future upgrades.
